Hurricane Supply List + Coupons = Get Prepared!

Aug 28 by Paul Ivanovsky 9 Comments

Guest post from Tiffany @ MyLitter.

This is my front yard the morning after Hurricane Ike. In the days before we brought in all the plants and kids toys we could. We nailed down everything possible and taped all the windows.

While many people were panicking and spending all their available cash on supplies, we were comforted knowing that we didn’t need to join the rush and that we were well prepared. We ran into Walmart on Thursday evening and were stunned to see the shelves. It was a very errie feeling when your huge supercenter is cleared out COMPLETELY!

Because of couponing and my food storage there was nothing that we needed, save for some fresh fruit and vegetables.

On Friday 2008, everything was closed, the kids were out of school and we just had to sit around and wait. Paul, myself and the DuBois, took the shotgun and hand guns down to the creek to do some shooting and relieve some anxiety! We heard reports on T.V. of all the chaos surrounding the stores closing early and people not having any food or water. I can’t understand not being prepared? Why would you live so day to day that you can’t take care of your family in an emergency with the basics of food, when you have the ability with coupons to do it almost free?

Alright, so are you guys out east ready? What about along the Gulf coast? With hurricane memories still fresh, I have gone through our supplies this past weekend to take a little inventory. If you have a chance you might want to do the same thing.

New $5.00 Lunch Crock Pot Coupon Match

Aug 12 by Paul Ivanovsky 2 Comments

There is a new $5.00 off 1 Crock-Pot Lunch Crock Food Warmer coupon that you can print today! I was really excited to see this coupon as I have this little lunch crock pot and I LOVE IT!

I needed a little croc pot for queso, and I asked Paul to bring one home from Walmart one day. He bought in this little guy and I have to say I was irritated. It wasn’t what I had wanted and didn’t even know they made these. HOWEVER, I used it anyway and actually fell in love!

Walmart has the price listed online as $19.94, but mine was a little less at my store and we actually took a picture this summer at a Walmart in New Mexico that had them on clearance for $12. I use this little guy for queso all the time! You can get almost a full block of Velveeta in it with Rotel. I also used it for lunch at work regularly. Don’t miss this coupon! This is a guest post from my lovely Wife, Tifany at MyLitter!

Buy Crock-Pot lunch Crock $19.94 (possibly less)
Use $5.00 off 1 Crock-Pot Lunch Crock Food Warmer
Total: $14.94

Clearance Finds at Walmart + Traveling lunch ideas.

Jun 18 by Paul Ivanovsky 6 Comments

We stopped at a Walmart in west Texas today. The first thing that I noticed was that there were NO plastic bags at the check out. I have never seen this before.

BUT, I was in Midland Texas week and they are discussing banning plastic bags at the stores because of the litter. In some of these windy more desolate towns a plastic bag will just blow and blow all over and you end up with fields of them. So I am assuming that this is the case in this Walmart. Anyone know for sure?

For a small Walmart they had a REALLY good selection of clearance items. Dawn double pack of the BIG Hand Renewal dish soaps for $3.50.

6 pack of Kleenex for $3 {was $5.24} this was a great deal!

Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom cleaner double pack with a bonus toilet cleaner gel pack for $3.50 {was $4.98}.

Raid Flea spray is $5 {down from $7.66}, I did not realize this was so expensive!

Finally, in the parking lot we had lunch. When we travel we could spend $$ eating out for every meal and buying snacks at gas stations. Before we leave we pack a cooler full of meat, cheese, drinks, water, fruit, and condiments. In rubbermaid containers we pack bread, plates, plastic utensils, plus tons of snacks. For breakfast {unless provided in the hotel} lunch, dinner and snacks we eat at the tail gate or in a rest stop!

A 6 pack of soda {the bottles with the tops on them} is $3.48 at Walmart. These 20oz. sodas in a gas station are $1.39 – $1.59 each! I pay $.58 by getting them at Walmart before we leave and keeping them in the cooler. We stocked up on Goldfish from the mega event sale at Kroger last month for $1 each, price matched at Walmart. The chips I got at Randalls BOGO last week and the fruit was price matched at Walmart from Fiesta grocery store. I cut all the fruit up before we left and used leftover Glade Christmas containers to store it all in. I would rather have the kids snacking on fresh fruit then junk all day in the car. Somehow a large bag of M&M’s made it in… but that is ok! We are teaching the baby her colors and that is the only way to do it right?!

What do you eat when you travel?

140 Custom Labels only $3.50 Shipped!

Jun 7 by Paul Ivanovsky Leave a Comment

So yes I know this is totally un-Walmart related, however, it’s an awesome deal and great way to make sure your kids stuff is labeled. These “address labels“ serve so many other purposes like labeling books, movies, toys, household stuff, etc that for $3.50 shipped it’s ridiculous not to grab them.

Tiffany has created the following post  to help you get creative with what you’ll turn your labels into.

This is my favorite deal around! 140 free address return labels are here! You will need to pay shipping, about $3.50, and choose the cheapest option (about 21 days) I always get mine within about 10.

The options are endless and you can use them for anything. With over 7,000 of designs to choose from, these labels are extremely versatile. You are sure to find a design that suits your style. Unsure where to start? Sort by style or theme or search for a specific color or image!

My girls design their own and use them for all their school supplies!

What I have used them for:

  • Return Christmas Labels
  • Teachers Gifts for Christmas
  • Labeling sports equipment
  • For my kids sippy cups
  • When people borrow books I put one in the front cover
  • Stocking stuffers for my kids ( with their names in them)
  • On Christmas cookies plates ( Made by the “Jones Family”)
We are coming up to the end of year and you might be looking for teacher’s gifts. I have always given the labels to my kids teachers so they can label their belongings in the classroom!
  • To get these cute labels just click HERE and choose the free sample of Return Address Labels.
  • Click Get Started and under Browse Design by Industry select “Education and Childcare.”
  • Then design the label with the message you wish to use.
  • Once you are satisfied, continue to check out.
  • Make sure not to add anything else to your cart.
  • Choose the cheapest shipping at $3.50 for 140 custom labels!

Let me know what you made your for! Go HERE to get started!
