Michaels: FREE Kids Craft Events All Weeks 6/2 to 6/7

Every day from June 2 through June 7, Michaels locations around the country will offer a different free craft project for kids to make and take home.

This year’s Family Make Week theme is nature, and all the crafts involve some sort of cute critter.
These free craft classes require no previous skill, and all the materials they’ll need to complete the project are included. Children ages 3 and older are welcome to join the class. Parents must stay in the store, and online registration is required.
To find a Family Make Week class near you, just select a class at Michaels’ website. Enter your ZIP code to find a location and sign up to reserve your spot.

June 2: Toad House

Kids who love catching toads and frogs on warm summer days will be “hoppy” to paint this cute little temporary home for their jumping guests. The class runs 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 2.

June 3: Sparkling Dragonflies

There’s something almost magical about dragonflies. With a few simple items, kids can create their own dazzling dragonfly to fly home with them. This class is from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, June 3.

June 4: Woven Turtle

Parents are sure to remember taking popsicle sticks and colored yarn to weave together into cool mobiles or magnets. This time, the kids are fashioning woven turtles, complete with the shell and too-cute googly eyes. Your kiddo can make them at 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4.

June 5: Butterfly Puppet Garden

Butterflies and gardens just capture the fancy-free days of summer, don’t they? This craft levels up a traditional picture by turning it into mini puppet show. Class runs 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5.

June 6: Bug-Catcher Jar

Bugs may seem creepy and crawly to parents, but kids can’t resist them. Let the kids have their fun and keep their bugs safe and sound with this decorated jar. This class runs from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, June 6.

June 7: Painted Rock Bugs

Painting rocks is one of the most popular crafting trends for kids of all ages. And, if you don’t like having the kids collect actual bugs, then these colorful critters should be the perfect substitute. Make them at 4-6 p.m. on Friday, June 7.

1) Free kids’ meal from Applebee’s.

If your student is 12 and under, the A is for Applebee’s Program allows teachers to reward students with a certificate for a free kids meal based on a variety of achievement areas, such as academics, responsibility, sportsmanship, attendance, etc.

If you’re a parent, be sure to contact your child’s teacher to let him/her know that this program offers rewards for students. Visit the A is for Applebee’s website for more details.

2) Bank rewards & discounts from Banks & Insurance Companies

Check with your local banks, credit unions, and car insurance companies since many of them offer monetary rewards or discounts for good grades!

3) Free scoop from Baskin-Robbins

Students can earn a free scoop of ice cream at participating Baskin-Robbins locations. Just bring in your report card showing good grades to get your freebie. Visit the Baskin Robbins website to find a location near you.

4) Free kids meal, compliments of Bob Evans.

The Star Student Program offers a free kids meal for good grades. As always, make sure to check with your local store to make sure they are participating.

5) Free burger per week at Burger King

Students may be able to score a free hamburger or ice cream cone for scoring 100% on a test. It is limited to one free hamburger per week per child – including homeschooling families! Contact your local restaurant to verify participation.

6) Free weets at Cheryl’s Cookies

Have A’s on your report card? Get up to 3 free cookies! Find a location closest to you.

7) Free nuggets (or ice cream) at Chick-fil-A

Students may be able to bring in a report card showing all As and Bs to receive a free 8-pack of nuggets or free ice cream cone (may vary)! Contact your location to confirm participation.

8) Free (game) tokens of appreciation from Chuck E. Cheese.

At Chuck E. Cheese you can choose from the Super Student Award or the Graduation Certificate and receive 10 free points/tokens to play games with. Limit one certificate per child per day.

9) Free scoop at Cold Stone Creamery

Select stores may offer students a free scoop for a “good” report card. Not all stores are participating, so call and ask at your location before making a special trip.

10) Free movie or video game rental at Family Video

Throughout the month of June, Family Video gives a free overnight movie or game rental to students for every A they receive on their final report card. Find a location nearest you!

11) Free pancake stack at IHOP

Participating IHOP locations may offer a free kids meal with a good grades report card. Contact your local IHOP to verify participation.

12) Earn kids cash to spend at Jason’s Deli

Jason’s Deli rewards students ages 1-12 for good grades, good efforts, or good deeds through their Kid Cash program. Kid Cash is valid only at participating Jason’s Deli restaurants and is good for dine-in meals only. Just complete this form, and your local sales manager will contact you within 5-7 days.

13) $5 discount for good grades at Justice

Participating Justice locations may give students $5 off your purchase for good grades when you bring in a good report card that’s been issued within the past 30 days.

14) Free donuts at Krispy Kreme

Students may be able to get up to six free original glazed doughnuts for each A on your report card! Be sure to contact your local doughnut shop to verify participation.

15) Free pizza at Marco’s Pizza

Participating locations may offer kindergarten through college students a free one-topping pizza when they have an A on their report card. Contact your local restaurant to verify participation.

16) Free Happy Meal at McDonald’s

If your Kindergarten – 5th-grade student has a straight A report card and brings it along, he/she may be able to receive a free Happy Meal.

Students 6th-12th grades may get a free Value Meal when they bring in their report card. This promotion may vary by location, so be sure to call your local restaurant before heading out.

17) Free meal at The Melting Pot

Any Sunday through Thursday in June, participating locations may offer students in grades Kindergarten – 8th grade a free 3-course dinner including cheese, entree, and chocolate fondue**. Students in grades 9th-12th can get a free four-course meal, including your choice of cheese fondue, salad course, entrée, and your choice of chocolate fondue**. Contact your local store for more details and to make a reservation and for more details.

**Must be accompanied by 2 other fonduers ordering 2 four-course dinners. One Straight A Dinner per every 2 four-course dinners ordered. No further discounts, promotions, or coupons apply. Their four-course dinners start at $36/person.

18) Free pie at Peter Piper Pizza

If you live in TX, NM, AZ, or CA with a Peter Piper location near you, students may be able to get a free 7″ 1-topping pizza for good grades on a report card. Contact your local store to verify participation.

19) Free personal pan pizza at Pizza Hut

Each marking period, any student who has 3 As (or the equivalent thereof) may be eligible receive one free Personal Pan Pizza and a small soft drink or carton of milk for dine-in by presenting his or her report card to the manager. This offer is valid for Elementary and Middle School students only.

20) Free menu item from Sonic Drive-In

Participating Sonic Drive-Ins may offer Positive Behavior Support certificates for honor roll, perfect attendance, and birthdays. Each certificate contains a coupon for a free menu item at Sonic. This promotion is only available through schools, church organizations, programs, and clubs.

21) Free treat, compliments of Wendy’s

Participating locations may offer students a free treat when you show your cashier a report card with As and Bs. Contact your local restaurant to verify participation before making a special trip.

There are a lot of freebies and discounts that military members can use this weekend. Thanks to The Money.com for this list.

Here are the best free food deals and special Memorial Day restaurant discounts today.

Firebirds – Memorial Day 2019, show ID that you are a veteran, active-duty military, or Gold Star Family member and you’ll get a free entrée, with the purchase of an additional entrée of an equal or higher price.

Hooters – Show military ID and make any drink purchase on Memorial Day at Hooters, and you can choose a free entrée. Selections include 10-piece wings, buffalo chicken salad, and the Hooters burger.

LaMar’s Donuts – All active and retired military can get a free donut and coffee at LaMar’s Donuts locations on Memorial Day.

Logan’s Roadhouse – From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, May 27, Logan’s Roadhouse customers with military ID eat free. Specifically, veterans and active-duty military can get one complimentary meal from the $9.49 American Roadhouse menu.

McCormick and Schmick’s – Veterans, active-duty military, and Gold Star Parents and spouses get a free entrée at McCormick and Schmick’s on Monday, May 27. The choice of free entrées includes salmon rigatoni, buttermilk fried shrimp, tender beef medallions, and the McCormick’s cheeseburger.

99 Restaurants – Customers with valid military ID who purchase a meal on Memorial Day 2019 at a 99 Restaurants location will get a bonus free entrée from the $9.99 menu.

Potbelly Sandwich Shop – All veterans and active military with ID can get a free sandwich or salad on Memorial Day 2019 at Potbelly Sandwich Shop when they buy another one at regular price.

Rubio’s Coastal Grill – Veterans and active-duty military eat free at Rubio’s on Memorial Day. Rubio’s posted a coupon on Facebook that will give guests with military ID one free entrée with the purchase of another entrée of equal or higher price, on Monday, May 27.

Twin Peaks – Current and former members of the armed services with ID can eat free from a special menu at Twin Peaks locations on Monday, May 27.

Fogo de Chao – Customers with military ID get 50% off food at Fogo de Chao Brazilian steakhouses on Memorial Day 2019, plus 10% off meals for up to three other guests.

Texas de Brazil – From Monday, May 27, through Wednesday, May 29, Texas de Brazil guests with military ID get 50% off dinner, plus a 20% discount on food for up to eight more customers.

Earn points by taking surveys, which can pay anywhere from $2 to $75 per completed survey.
One differentiator with Survey Junkie is that if you do not qualify for a survey, you still earn some points for it.
