It’s Holiday Season and that means that saving money however you can needs to be kicked into high gear. One of the best ways I know to save money is to use the Walmart Holiday Price Match Policy. The Ad Match is a great way to save money and time during the holiday season, it ends December 24. I get a lot of questions this time of year about what you can and can’t do. I am going to answer some of the most frequently asked questions that I get. Have any more questions? Fire Away!!

Q: If I buy something and it goes on sale will Walmart price match that?
A: YES!!! You will receive the difference in the form of a Walmart Gift Card.

Q: Can I Price Match Something that I put on Layaway?
A: YES!!! If something goes on sale after you have put it on layaway you can bring the ad in and they will give you the difference in the form of a gift card. You can then use this to make a payment or use at your convenience. There are a few exceptions, so keep reading!

Q: Can I Price Match Black Friday Sale Items?
A: As of right now the answer is NO. Walmart has excluded the following from what it will Ad Match this Holiday Season: Thanksgiving Day Ad Sales, Black Friday Ads and basically any gimmick or gift card promotions. This is a bit of a change from last year, in the past you were able to Price Match all Black Friday Ads so long as you made your purchases during the dates and times specified in the ad. Hopefully they change that back!

Q: Can I Price Match Online Prices at Walmart?
A: YES!!! Here are the guidelines, the online store should have a brick and mortar location presence in your area. That would include stores like Target, Best Buy, K Mart, Toys R Us etc. Last year I was able to Price Match Amazon if it was delivered by Amazon but I have been told that is not the case this year. My manager will even price match Walmart.com! I imagine this will be at your managers discretion.

Note: This is something that my manager is willing to do ALL YEAR long!

Does this mean that Walmart won’t price match any Black Friday ads on Black Friday? I’ve always done this in the past so I’m just making sure whether it’s allowed or not.

just an fyi……we talked to managers and they said you will still be able to.price match black friday ads this year….just not buy sonething and do the holiday ad match on thanksgiving or black friday

if they do that they could loose a bit of business not that my store is very friendly anyways but i hope they change there minds on that one

I just asked on there facebook page and got a reply from Walmart stating that they will price match on black Friday but only with the actual print ad in hand and for the specific item during the time that it is to be on sale at the other store. I got a screenshot of their reply just in case I get any grief at my Walmart.

I put Disney Infinity on layaway at WalMart for my daughter about a month ago at the regular price. Does this mean that Wal Mart will not let me have it at the Black Friday price if I go to pay it out on that day?
