Starting Sunday I plan on price matching the $.99 Large eggs to Walgreens!
Then I plan on price matching the Nabisco Snacks to Randalls, they have them on sale for $1. Plus, we should be getting a $1/2 Nabisco Cookie coupon in the Sunday paper tomorrow, making these only $.50!
Will Wal-Mart price match something like the eggs (since it is a coupon for Walgreens) or do they treat it just like an advertised price? I have not tried this before.
I tried this in my local Walmart and they refused 🙁
I plan on price matching the ZhuZhu pets 5/$10.00 from CVS…$2.00 each is a great deal since they range $5.00 or more each usually… early xmas shoping for gifts for my nieces and nephews!! Just wish there was a coupon LOL
is there a distance range that walmart will price match? or can timbucktoo be 2 hours away and i’d still be able to get there ad sales at walmart?
I would like to know this also. The other day I price matched an item for $1.00 and the cashier said oh one lady said this is on sale for .97 at piggly wiggly. We don’t have a piggly wiggly anywhere near me.The closest one I could find is 30 minutes away in another town.Thanks..
I don’t know if it is different for every Walmart, but I was told at mine that they will price match for any store in a 50 mile radius. It is awesome for me b/c there are a lot of stores in a nearby town that we don’t have here, so I will definitely be price matching more!
@toni – certain zhu zhu pets were on clearance at my local target last night. you might want to check it out!
Awesome! ty for the info! 🙂
So walmart will match the eggs? I thought they would only match if it had a specific brand?
I was able to do it at my walmart. They did give me a hard time at first though.
They DO accept competitors coupons. They will also price match an item of the same quantity/weight/etc…so lb for lb, etc.
I price matched the Oscar Myer Turkey Smoked Sausage from the Publix Yellow advantage flyer, 10 for $10. No problems, bought 10. Walmart price before price match was $1.94.
My Albertsons ad listed a dozen large eggs for $0.88 🙂
I was price matching the eggs and casually mentioned that Aldi had them for 75 cents so they gave me that price instead!! LOL
hello to all,i have a question.is walmart price matching the walgreens coupon and also price matching the CVS sale’s add that it say with card? im sorry guys im new in couponing hope you can all help me.
You must have got an awesome cashier! When I worked at Wal-Mart, we were only allowed to price match Aldi’s produce. Then again, that was YEARS ago, so maybe it has changed. I might have to check that out, can’t beat $0.75 eggs!
So are you matching the eggs because there is no brand listed? I thought it had to be brand for brand. If they do in fact match off brands I would love to know.
It is brand for brand, Kristen. If he’s getting the eggs, he’s lucky. The policy (you can find it here: http://walmartstores.com/10563.aspx ) states they do not match generics/private labels. But April, they match the price on the coupon because it is the advertised price. They do not take competitors coupons that say something like “$.75 off at Walgreens” but the one above they match. Sheila, they will match anything that says “with card” and you do not need a card.
Hope that helps, you guys!
@Kristen- they will not price match other store brands/generics. But since the egg coupon states no brand, should not be an issue.
@Sheila not 100% sure what you’re asking. I suggest you read the ad match policy (http://walmartstores.com/10563.aspx) and the coupon policy (http://walmartstores.com/7655.aspx). Both of those should clarify your questions.
I have the policy and knew they didn’t match generics but wasn’t sure how the eggs fit into that. Thanks for clarifying that since the brand isn’t mentioned it should work.
My walmart told me that because the coupon says good at walgreens they won’t price match it. (This wasn’t for the eggs but for another walgreens store coupon from last week’s paper)
of course the lady also told me i should print my coupons in color too… which is not a requirement and I would think most people opt for black and white for the ink cost
Publix has lunchables at 10 for $10, it isn’t a couple cents but worth a lot since we’re in summer and have kids at home. Great for road trips, some times you can get them into theme parks, u only have to know how.
