Great Job!!! I had a major problem with my walmart today..I went in to buy 4 of the Almay Eyeshadows & had 4-$4 coupons. The cashier was only going to take 1 of my coupons off ,because she said it says one per purchase on coupon .I preceded to tell her that meant 1 coupon for each eyeshadow that I bought..She said they had a big meeting this week and their manager told them that statement on the coupon means only 1 coupon can be used per transaction, regardless of how many items u buy. I preceded to show her a p&g coupon that says one per purchase..no more than 4 in same transaction & asked her to explain how they were going to interpate that coupon & she said u can only use 1..What is wrong with the manangers..Has walmart actually changed their policy this week?
Angela if Walmart did change their policy, there is really going to be mad shoppers that are standing behind us one’s with multiple coupons and multiple transactions, (especially for the same thing) because they get mad when I have one transaction and multiple coupons. Guess I need to find out here in Texas before I try several of the same coupons in one transaction at Walmart. Thanks for the heads up.
Crickett, I decided last night after writing this to call the 800 number & explain what happened & what I was told about the coupons & transactions to see if their was a policy change. I was told on the phone that there has been no change & whoever the manager was that told the cashiers this didn’t know what they were doing & were making up their own rules..One coupon per purchase means one coupon per item being purchased..I was told that they would contact my store about the issue..I guess I’ll have to see next time I go if I have problems..The cashier even giggled & said well I had a person the other day that we made do 17 transactions because she had 17 of the same item & coupons for each one.It almost seems they are trying to make people stop using coupons & till now my store has always been great about coupons.I mean almost every coupon says:Limit one coupon per purchase..Sometimes you just want to slap stupid people….
Could it be the cashier misunderstood the manager? I would have asked to speak to a manager.
It was the manager that made the cashier ring up the lady with 17 of the same item with coupons into 17 different transactions..
