I know that many of you have seen the displays in the center of your store walkways that have the $.94 items. Everytime I walk by I try and matchup any possible coupons that I have to these items. The problem is that they are JUST a little too small and fall out of the acceptable size limits.
But, I want to point out that while they usually do not have a coupon matchup they are a great size for traveling this Holiday season. Also, if you were in a hurry and did not have a stockpile they are a great size to make into gift baskets.
Another idea that my wife likes…. when we were married someone gave us a bucket filled with cleaning supplies, soap, windex, garbage bags, gloves, laundry detergant etc. I thought it was the weirest gift, but it was actually the MOST helpful and used. It was very thoughtful. Just a thought for these small items.
My walmart has first aid/ medications for $0.88! Almost any med you can think of. Most are store brand, but they are mostly good deals

I agree! I moved out right after high school and any of those supplies would be amazing to have as a gift, I didn’t coupon last year and it would of been so nice to have! Recommend these as GREAT gift ideas for anyone moving out, buying a home, renting an apartment, going off to college. It’s nice to have little things like this handed to you after paying for it all yourself! Those Colgate toothbrushes that were in there, you were able to use a 0.50c coupon awhile back!
Emily – My walmart does too, such a good idea!
you jut gave me a great idea for Christmas gifts for the in-laws! Gift baskets with Cellsetial (spelling) tea, some soap, maybe a shower buff…..
Basicly a basket of comfort things…teas, soaps, bubbles….
THANKS!
I just wishe dour Walmart would actually have the .94 stuff it sure would help. They do have the .88 med’s and things though.
For my wedding, one of the guest gave us a basket of supplies too. It was the best gift ever. Plus we found out deodorant does expire lol. Found one from the basket and hubby used it. It smelled so bad he had to retake a shower lol
How long was this after the wedding? Just wondering how long it lasts? : )
When all of my friends and I were having babies I would do a laundry basket with baby soap/dreft/a few blanket/towels/wash rags/ and baby first aid items…nose sucker/clippers etc…
I think that is a great idea (and I thought I was only one who called those nose suckersl…..)
Never feel “weird” about putting together a basket of useful things for people you care for.
I always send a new mom a basket with nail clippers, soap,”nose suckers” : ) , extra soap, etc. These are always the little things that are never included in shower gifts, but are used EVERYDAY.
Same for someone that you know who Loves tea, coffee, sweets, smores, bath time, etc.
I made good money for awhile on ebay even selling just the exact same thing.
People love baskets!! It always feels like it is more than 1 gift and when done right can cost the same or less. Aside from the fact that specialized baskets for someone special are always great and really Fun to put together.
So basket away!!!!
My walmart marked the whole bin down to .50 in Houston, TX. Same brands in the box… wisps and colgate all .50
