UPDATE: Tiff used a coupon for the BBQ sauce that was the wrong size, I have returned the BBQ sauce. The cashier also messed up and didn’t hit the button for one of our reach coupons, that why the total was off in the first place. We are always learning, especially to be careful. Her total should have ended up with some change coming back to us.

What happens to the overage? Do they just keep it?

This looks like the small 18oz bottle of bbq sauce. The coupon you mentioned is for the 28 or 40oz bottles. Is it alright to use it on the smaller bottles?
IF this is the smaller bottle then no its not okay to use it. Maybe the bottle just looks small I sure hope so atleast….

I had a similar experience this week. The reach dental floss was on sale for 88 cents each and I got 6 of them for free with my six $1.00 off coupons 🙂
Hey Everyone, I noticed some of the comments about the BBQ sauce and we went and double checked. This is a good learning experience for everyone( especially me, see if I let her post again:-) we really try very hard not to have oversights like this one, but it happens even to the best of us. And yes, she is the best of us. I will be returning the BBQ sauce tomorrow and it will cost me a coupon but I’m ok with that.

Here’s a question…since you bought the wrong size and used the coupon….won’t you now receive full price refund? Do you’ll get back even more than you paid? Is that better than just keeping the wrong size? I did this last week and wondered if I should return it and get full credit (more than I paid) or just keep it? Thanks
I’m curious how that works too! I guess if you are an honest person, you would tell them you used a coupon and they would deduct it, but not real sure how that works…
No, I actually ended up paying the .45c and lost the coupon. But hey I have a bottle of sauce for a buck.

I actually am curious as to how to handle something like this too…I noticed when I got home yesterday from a different store (not Walmart), that I had bought 4 bottles of John Frieda Shamp/Cond, used (4) 3.00 off manufacturer coupons, but the cashier had accidentally scanned (5) 2.00 off store coupons. I plan to go back to customer service and let them know and offer to pay the extra 2.00….Is that the correct way to handle it?
if you tried to use 4 $3 coupons and they used 5 $2, you actually lost the $2 or am I missing something. you would have saved $12 and he only took off $10.
No, I can use both at that store…Manufacturer and Store coupons. The 4 bottles of John Frieda were on sale for 5.49 each, 21.96 total. I used (4) 3.00 MANUFACTURER off, making the subtotal now 9.96, and then I was using (4) 2.00 STORE off, which was supposed to make my total 1.96 plus tax. Instead, she must have scanned the store coupon 5 times and it made it -0.04 without tax…..
I see how that was unclear though! 😀 I was actually planning to go back to that store (and Walmart, lol) today and I was going to tell Customer Service what happened, but my middle child is running 102, so it will have to wait!
QUESTION, Can you use the $2.50 off on the floss from 4/17? There was the ..1.00, and theres a 2.50, I’ve been hesitant to try it! If you could that was be some awesome overage.

I had the $2,50 off and i used it on floss cause that is the only product my walmart carries that worked with the coupon and it worked just fine!
Nikki, YES, I had some of those coupons $2.50/2 reach floss(there where other items you could use it on aswell) I used them at my store and it worked fine.

am i blind because did i not see the coupon for the ivory bar in my p&g insert? i got 4 of them and none of the inserts came with an ivory coupon!
Its in the P&G insert. The picture had other soaps on it but the fine print said it could be used on the ivory bar soap. I used the coupon already, so I don’t know exactly what was on the picture.

It has a lot of great coupons every month. You can find it at every other register in Walmart. Check it out!
I have a question on the Reach floss. The coupon is for Listerine, but isn’t the floss johnson & johnson. How does that work?
In the fine print of the coupon, the very last statement reads ‘sends coupon to the J&J Healthcare Products Division of McNeil-PPC(the makers of Listerine)
Just got back shopping at my local Walmart and they had some Clearance items on a push rack near the frozen meat section and I got these items: .25/ea. Hershey’s Special Dark Chocolate bar (used Buy 1 get 1 free) and Hillshire Farms Summer Sausage .25/ea. I had 3 in my hand and a lady came and took the whole box of them. I guess she really likes Summer Sausage, 😉
Just got back from Walmart and they now have the 40 oz Kraft BBQ sauce for $2 so $1.55 after the $0.45 off coupon.
