8.7 Million Pounds of Meat have been Recalled!

Feb. 8, 2014 – Rancho Feeding Corporation, a Petaluma, Calif. establishment, is recalling approximately 8,742,700 pounds, because it processed diseased and unsound animals and carried out these activities without the benefit or full benefit of federal inspection. Thus, the products are adulterated, because they are unsound, unwholesome or otherwise are unfit for human food and must be removed from commerce, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

Nestle Announces Voluntary Recall of four Select Varieties of California Pizza Kitchen and DiGiorno Frozen Pizzas

On May 2, 2013 Nestlé Announces Voluntary Recall of four Select Varieties of California Pizza Kitchen and DiGiorno Frozen Pizzas. For more information and the specific codes for the recall visit Nestles USA

The voluntary recall is limited to frozen pizzas with these specific production codes, which were distributed nationwide. No other production codes/dates, sizes or varieties of CALIFORNIA PIZZA KITCHEN or DIGIORNO pizzas are affected by this recall. The reason for the recall is that the pizza may contain fragments of clear plastic. Nestlé USA is taking this action after a small number of consumers reported that they had found small fragments of plastic on the CPK Crispy Thin Crust White pizza. Our investigation indicates this is directly related to a particular lot of spinach we received from one of our suppliers. Although no complaints have been received to date on the other three varieties that used this spinach, we are recalling these additional varieties in an abundance of caution.

BREAKING: Recall of Excedrin, NoDoz, Gas-X and Bufferin

JANUARY 8, 2012 – Novartis Consumer Health (NCH) is voluntarily recalling all selected bottle sizes of Excedrin and NoDoz products with expiration dates of December 20, 2014 or earlier as well as Bufferin and Gas-X Prevention products with expiration dates of December 20, 2013 or earlier, in the United States. What’s the reason? Because the products may contain stray tablets, capsules, or caplets from other Novartis products, or contain broken or chipped tablets.

This is huge for couponers because many of these products released coupons quite often. I just found a bottle of Excedrin Extra Strength with an expiration date of February 13 in my medical drawer, so please check check check because I know many of you may have these products.
