Take a look in your frig for any Sargento cheese. Sargento has issued a recall on a list of cheeses. No one has confirmed an illness. The recall is due to a potential listeria monocytogenes contamination in Longhorn Colby cheese supplied by Deutsch Kase Haus. Sargento says the company has terminated its relationship with Deutsch Kase Haus “out of concern for the health and well-being of Sargento consumers.”

Kellogg Company has announced a voluntarily recalling on certain varieties and limited dates of production of Mother’s, Keebler, Kellogg’s Special K brownies, Murray and Famous Amos snacks and cookies because they may contain undeclared peanut residue. Kellogg initiated the recall after its supplier, Grain Craft, recalled wheat flour that has the potential to contain low levels of peanut residue.

While consumers with severe peanut allergies should avoid the recalled products, the FDA has stated that the amount of peanut exposure from the flour is low and not expected to cause adverse health effects in the vast majority of peanut allergic consumers. The company has received no reports of related illness to date and is taking this action out of an abundance of caution.

If you purchased or received the Rival brand electric griddles from Walmart you might be shocked. Literally, Walmart is recalling over 330,000 Rival griddles because of an issue with the heating element. It can crack and water can get inside, posing a shock hazard when the griddle is plugged into an electrical outlet.

This recall is for the Rival brand electric griddles with model number XJ-14207. The griddles are black and measure 20 inches long by 10.5 inches wide. “Walmart” and the model number are printed on a label molded into the bottom of the griddle. “Rival” is printed on the outside edge of the griddle and on the griddle’s temperature dial.

Consumers should immediately unplug and stop using the recalled griddles and return them to any Walmart store for a full refund.

Mars has issued a RECALL on the Dove Chocolate Snowflakes 24oz purple bags. These are only sold at Walmart and Dove is concerned that 7,000 packages might contain pieces of Snickers, Twix or Milky Way. Those items contain nuts, wheat and eggs which could be a problems with people with allergies from them.
