Well, shopping this weekend should be a little more fun with the new policy… my wife went in and tried it out. I am going to have her write that up over the weekend for you.
To get you started:
- Go HERE and print some coupons ( make sure to grab the Mens Dove Deodorant one)
- If you want to price match from CVS and Walgreens you have today (SATURDAY) to do it with these match ups. The new ones I will have posted tomorrow.
- Take a look at the Under $1 deals and look for some OVERAGE! If anything is expired let me know!
I am putting together an overage list. Many of them are already on the under $1. The Gain coupons are still good until the 31st if you have any of those left. Plus, the Purex coupons still have another week. Let me know if you find any good deals!
For the $3/1 Purex coupons, it was on sale a winn dixie a few weeks ago for bogo for $6.49. I got a rain check b/c they were out so if you have a rain check make sure to use it b/c you can get 2 bottles of purex w/zout for .49.

Well I used my $3/1 Purex and it failed. I’m sad to report my walmart wouldn’t give me the overage so I had to pay the $8 total instead of $3.50 I was hoping for the overage and I told them I get full value but the checker was to busy telling me how good of a check he is and he isn’t suppose to push through coupons. They adjusted down all my coupons so lost my overage and they have the coupon:( Oh well it was stuff I needed and they coupons were expiring soon so I’m not bad off I was just hoping to score a really big deal.

I did have it with me but it was like he wasn’t even listening to what I said in the first place, then the customers start lining up. I just have a hard time couponing I get really nervouse and worried I figured something wrong, which is funny because the cashiers don’t know what they really are doing. I’m working on it though:) I did call the manager to let him know that his cashiers aren’t aware of the change and it would be good to talk with them so these problems don’t arise. I’m not really bothered by it but it could have saved me almost $5.
Still new to all this atleast they were kinder to me then Safeway which I don’t shop anymore.
I shop at the second, or is it the third, largest Walmart in the World and the cashier has not heard of giving back overage or a new coupon policy. It would do me no good to print the coupon policy and bring it because anyone could make up their own coupon policy and print it around here. They wouldn’t believe me. I guess I’ll call corporate Anyone have the number?

I didn’t have any problems using the $3 off coupon for the travel size Purex. Thank goodness!
Had a great experience at WM yesterday. I wanted to test my Safeway OYNO Catalina which beeped. I showed the cashier the new coupon policy and she pushed it through. She may have only done so because it was just a $1 cat. My overage from purex did get absorbed into my shopping basket. A good experience thus far…we’ll see if my walgreens RR will work next time.
After my last experience at Wal-Mart with the cashier refusing to take my coupons I was a but hesitant as I walked into my local Wal-Mart today. I grabbed my items (Breathe Right strips – 2 ct paks, downy fabric sheets, Gain fabric sheets, Reach floss, Purex 3 in 1 – regular size, a 5 pk of Mac & Cheese, sippy cups, & Sun Drop soda)and headed to the check out – prepared to hand over the coupon policy if needed. No problems today. My total went from $58.74 to $8.74 with no problems! I used my overage from the strips & gain to cover my other items and there wasn’t one problem. I’m hoping this new coupon policy sticks – atleast the part of accepting coupons over the item cost.
I used my Gain coupons on the travel size. The cashier had to ask a higher even after I showed her the printed coupon policy. The ‘higher ‘ said NO we can’t do that so I had to whip the policy out again. She had to call her ‘higher’ while cashiers swarmed around us (I felt like I was the target of a SWAT team) and that higher said yep…do it. I was grinning and they didn’t look pleased at all that I was right.
