It is that time of year where I want to start giving things away! This year I have decided to do a Black Friday Special. I am giving away a FREE 40″-42″ Flat Screen LCD HDTV. I didn’t want to be held to a sponsor chosen prize, so I ask my wife(mylitter) to sponsor me! I thought it would be fun to put my shopping skills to the test and see what kind of deal I can find! One of you will be the lucky winner of this prize. From what I can tell these run anywhere from $500 and up. I am obviously trying to find it for less, but regardless someone is going to get a Great Name Brand Babysitter ( I mean TV) for Christmas this year. Along with the Olay, gift boxes, something for the Men…. Old Spice and Gillette boxes. The offer that comes with these is for 4 free Sports Illustrated magazines mailed to you. Now, I do not know if there is a rebate offer of some kind with these as I did not buy one and open it up, but there is the possibility. I would prefer the magazines myself.

Walmart Is Stepping it up on Holiday Price Matching and other Great Incentives to Make Walmart the place to Shop!!!

Walmart is making it even easier to make sure you get the best possible prices this Holiday Season. There really is no reason to shop anywhere else. Walmart has announced that even if you have already purchased an item and then you find it at a lower price, you will get the difference in the form of a Walmart Gift Card. It sounds too good to be true. At the risk of sounding like the late Billy Mayz, “Wait, that’s not all”, they are even going to honor this on Layaway purchases. Below is the article from AP.

1. Purchases must be Make from Nov 1- Dec 25th
2. You must bring in the competitor ad AND your receipt to receive the Price Match Difference
3. Black Friday and Internet Prices are Excluded
4.Items on Layaway are Eligible

In addition to this great incentive to shop at Walamrt here are a couple other incentives that were announced! via CNN Money

Wal-Mart has also announced a number of other shopping incentives this season including layaway on purchases over $15, free shipping on most Walmart.com products, no interest on Wal-Mart credit card purchases if they are paid for in full within six months, and a 10-cent discount on each gallon of gas bought at participating Murphy USA or Wal-Mart stations.

Wal-Mart ups ante in holiday price matching

By ANNE D’INNOCENZIO – AP Retail Writer | AP – 6 hrs agoNEW YORK (AP) — Wal-Mart Stores Inc., the world’s largest retailer, is announcing a new holiday price-matching strategy that aims to pull in procrastinators early by giving them a big incentive: a guarantee they’ll get the lowest prices no matter when they buy during the season.

The Bentonville, Ark., discounter said Monday it will be matching prices on all its products — even after purchases are made. Shoppers who bought a product — whether on its website or in its stores — from Nov. 1 to Dec. 25 but then find the identical product for less at another rival later will receive a gift card for the price difference.

The price guarantee comes as Wal-Mart aims to solidify its position as the low-price leader and should raise the stakes for the holiday 2011 season.
