  3. boy did i have trouble price matching this went to 3 walmarts each walmart’s manager had something to say the first said “No overage is given back”, “if price matching you have to have the ad with you,” “Can only use one coupon” all this from one person, which is obvious she had no training about the policy. Which of course the one day that i did not bring my coupon policy would be the day that i had problems. ugh. (Tried to explain to her as best as i could, and ask to see the coupon policy and of course everything she said was wrong, Got no apology. long story short I was no able to get it because the target ad states the 25% bonus and according the manager the tape that i had did not have the 25% bonus so i was not able to get it. after like an hour going back and forth, and waiting. So will be calling corporate today. These policies should be hanging up on every register. Horrible experience at walmart.

  4. I do not have the target store ad with me how do I price match ? I have never tried pricematching . I have walmart close by so would like to try .Thanks for all the help.

  5. Does anyone know if it’s possible to only print one coupon? I was thinking that maybe I could paste it to Word, but so far I can’t see how.

    • When you click print, it should take you to the screen where you can choose how many to print. On mine, at that point, you can choose to only print “current view”, which is what you are currently looking at then. Just make sure you are looking at the right coupon 🙂

    When you are price matching at walmart just to be on the safe side (bring the ads you will be price matching. but for an FYI You do not need the ad when you price match, states it in the “MATCH AD POLICY – “We do not require customers to have the ad with them to honor a competitor’s ad.” check it out here http://walmartstores.com/10563.aspx and print it and bring it with you a lot of cashiers as well as managers are not Aware, of this for some reason.
    for example Target has the scotch tapes for .50cents if you will be at walmart and see the exact scotch tape ((size, quantity, color, etc.) that is in the Target ad, at check out you would let the cashier know ahead of time before she scans that you have a price match and for how much. Hope this helps.

  11. Okay I am very new to couponing, so I realize this might be a very dumb question, but does anyone know if it’s okay to copy these? I know you can’t copy other coupons, but I didn’t know if there was an exception with these because they are pdf and you can print as many as you want. (I’m trying to cut down on ink usage and my printer won’t let me print any less than the full 2nd page)

    • when you look at the pdf, scroll down to the magic tape where it only shows that coupon. now when you click print, on the print menu it has an option that says current view, and it will only print the magic tape coupon. thats what i did and it worked so i didnt have to print the other coupons.

  12. I had a quick question – the coupons that printed off for me were save $1.00 on Scotch Wrinkle Free Glue, Save $1.00 on Scotch Pop Up Tape, Save $1.00 Scotch Brand Scissors, and Save 50 cents on Scotch Poster Tape. Which coupon do I use for the price matching? Thanks!!

  13. Their coupon policy does say they will price match exact product, size, etc., so I can see why they are giving people a hard time. If you look at Target’s ad, it does say it is $.50 for the Bonus size Scotch tape.

    You don’t have to have the ad, as the policy states, so if you want to price match, have the policy with you, but not the ad…

  16. After 45 minutes of attempting to obtain this deal, I left with no purchase and contacted corporate. Every time I attempt to do price matching it is like pulling teeth and lord forbid if I am handing them an internet coupon as I was told that this tape coupon was a copy and a fake…I told the manager it was a pdf file. I still think Walmart needs to train and educate their employees a little bit more and get rid of the inadequate employees and hire someone that knows what the heck they are doing!

    • I agree I think that every cashier working at Walmart should have to take a coupon training course or something similar, because most are clueless.

  17. I went to Wal-Mart and found a tape that they would ad-match for me, but the cashier had trouble scanning the coupons. So, it took forever for her to enter them all in. IDK why they wouldn’t scan. I even had some in color that wouldn’t print. I still have more coupons but I’m afraid to take them back again and deal with another cashier!

    • I had this happen to me it wouldnt work because the tape i had was the 700 extra one…. it did work fine for the regular tape (priced 2.44 at my store)

  18. Same problem with me. Ad says 25% bonus (which my Walmart doesnt carry) so my Walmart wouldnt price match this either. Bummer cause I really wanted that overage for school supplies.

    • myfirst question is about your email address, I am a bit confused about the surfergirl from Southern TN? Who at the Walmart said they wouldn’t give overages, now they may not carry the same product in which case they probably won’t price match either. If it wasn’t the manager that said it then go talk to him. If it was then ask him why he doesn’t follow the corporate policy, then contact corporate if necessary.

  20. Went to Walmart the other day and told the cashier that in their policy they do the cashback due to the overage…she said they don’t! OMG. CORPORATE needs to EDUCATE their employees. It’s unbelievable how clueless they are when WE know what their policy says and they DON’T!! I love Walmart but they NEED to get their freaking act together!!

  21. I’ll just go to Target for this, Bic pens, papermate, etc and see what I can find. I have the Target .50 off for Scotch and the $1 one so if I go this week, I’ll see what I can do.

  22. I did this deal this morning in Central Florida! I had no problem! They just went with it! I do have a question maybe someone will know, I just have never ran into this. Since the coupon is PDF can i print more than two and use them or is it “coupon fraud”? I feel like if they were limiting the number of coupons per “household” they would make it a bricks coupon right? I know iI could print them, I do love coupons just like the next person, and a great deal, but I’m not trying to do anything thats not “right” thanks guys!

    • I printed 20, I have read on many sites that 3MM and one other brand (can’t remember off hand) doesn’t have a limit like bricks does. Sadly with this price match and no limit, I have seen several people said they printed like 50, I can’t see where thats worth the paper and ink. I only did 20 b/c my son needed it for his school supply list, each parent buys 1 item for the class, his was tape 🙂

  23. If Walmart would just educate there employees on there policy we wouldn’t have all these issues. It seems every store wants to make there own policy and not follow what is in place by corporate. I’ve been told by two different stores that they will be making more changes on there policy and I am in the DFW area.

  24. Maybe everyone should consider writing or calling corporate about the problems with their cashiers being uneducated. I’m sure if they get enough letters/calls they will hopefully do something about it. It’s worth a try right?

  25. I was able to get 6 rolls, Price Matching went fine at both WM’s I went to (even though neither had the 25% bonus rolls). The first one only had 2 rolls left and the q’s scanned fine.

    The second one had tons of tape but the q’s wouldn’t scan, got the dreaded “see journal”. Had to wait while the cashier asked a CSM and the CSM asked her boss but they pushed them through.

  26. It worked fine at my walmart. What they did was have me get the more expensive tape cause the small one is 1.22 at my store and the big one is 2.22 they had me get the 2.22 cause it said 25% more but the only thing that was difficult was the coupon wouldnt work for the new(the new cover the colorful covers) and we were not sure why. But other then not getting the colorful ones we got the bigger tapes and overage!!

I would suggest for all those who are having a hard time at walmart, with the cashiers/managers not knowing about There own coupon/ad match policy I would call corporate I did this today since i had complaints for the 3 walmarts i went to and and 1 out of three walmarts that i did go to the manager called me and apologize and offered me a gift card which was nice 🙂 Heres the number if anyone needs it. (I( have it on speed dial lol.) The phone number for the Walmart Corporate is 800-966-6546. I agree with Doreen these employees need to get it together.

  28. I tried doing this today but the one WM I got to was totally cleaned out of the tape! Nothing but the multi-packs. Dang! I’ll try another tomorrow. 🙁

    Question, why don’t the require the ad to price match? It seems to me that it would not only be reasonable to request the printed ad to be presented but necessary. Afterall, I could tell you such and such store has such and such sale and they would have to honor it, couldn’t I? Can someone give me a good explanation how they are checking on theses price matches so they aren’t getting shorted? TIA! 😀

I went to walmart today and asked the manager which tape i should get to do the price match she told me to get the larger tape that cost $2.22 cause it said i was 700 inches of tape in big numbers so she figured that was equivalent to the 25 % more in the target ad – i did the price match and that was fine but then my coupons wouldnt scan so they had to hand enter them – the overage went towards getting my kids school supplies – all worked out in the long run

  30. Got the price match but walmart wouldn’t take my coupons b/c the manager said that certain “security features” were missing. Well I know the coupons were good, but because they were printables I wasn’t about to argue- the ball is in their court. Caveat emptor. Also, scotch seems to have changed their packaging for the magic tape so they may even reject the price match if they’re really fussy.

  33. I noticed no one ever answered the question about how many are you able to use since its in easy copy pdf format… Won’t walmart bitch? lemme know, Im about to go try it anyway in about an hour

    • there does not seem to be a limit my walmart freaked out at first because i has 20 coupons…but after i explained i was donating the tape to a local school program they were more than happy to do it.
