I tried to do as much research as possible to make sure there were no issues with this. Like it was intended for a certain person, etc. I think I can use my debit card as well, which is cool. I am on my way to test it out!

UPDATE: I just got back from Best Buy and they are FREAKING out!! They have already received 3 of them this morning and there were like 4 in line with me, including a couple of readers. Here is what I know

1. It doesn’t work on Gift cards- there are more exclusions than what are listed.

2. It DOES scan and work for many items, the lady next to me used it on a webcams and memory sticks.

3. I can’t say if it is valid because a manager said that it worked for someone when they paid with something other than a mastercard. That is a sign that it may be fraudulant. The store manager is going to call me when corporate figures it out.
