Remember the Olay deal at Christmas time with the Rebate inside if you didn’t want to get the magazine?
Well, here is an update from JoAnna (you are awesome, thank you so much for following up and letting us know!):
I wanted to share some great news with you!
I just got a rebate check for $139.86 from Glamour/Allure magazine.
In December, I purchased 15 gift boxes that had the allure offer of a magazine or a rebate.
I enclosed all 15 cards (MADE A COPY OF EVERYTHING) and mailed them in one envelope with one online form with a note on the form that I was enclosing a request for 15 – rebates of $9.99.
In January, I got one check for $9.99 from Glamour/Allure – so I called them and asked for the 14 other ebate cards back – so I could re-submit the rebates using the 15 people addresses that I had purchased the gift sets for. The operator told me that many people were upset so P&G was going to pay Glamour for all the requests and then Glamour would be able to fill my 14 other requests (as mailing the cards back to me was not an option).
In mid February – I called Glamour again. I explained that I was waiting for the 14 rebates and I could mail in copies of my orginial request with the cards if needed. The operator of course said she saw no notes on my account about any pending P&G or Allure refunded. She said she would forward to the corp office and I should be perpared to fax my proof if needed. She said to call back after April 1st if I did not hear anything…
Well today I heard back!! In the form of a $139 check for me. YEAH!!
God is sooo good – cause I have to pay a BIG tax bill in 15 days and I only had $100 cash for the whole month of April. (I have gas gift cards from publix and a freezer full of food but this month NO EXTRA NOTHINGS)… NOW with this check we can get some fresh vegs and fruit each week to eat too. Yeah!! God is GOOD!!
Maybe there are other people who asked for multiple Allure rebates back in December and they did not follow-up with Glamour/Allure. I would tell them to call the 800-274-7410 and see if they will honor them now if P&G is willing to pay for the rebates.

Wow! I’m impressed! I submitted two and got back one check and one letter saying I’d met my rebate amount. When Walmart had the same rebate available on the swiffer products, I bought one but noticed the PO box number was the same as the Olay gift set. I called to inquire and was told the offer was only one per customer per year and I wouldn’t receive my rebate if I submitted it since I’d received it already within the last 12 months. Glad to hear they did follow through with this reader!
If this rebate is suppose to be one per household/name & she submitted 14 other names/addresses that is wrong to be doing that. People wonder why there are not many rebates nowadays & how strict things have become & getting. Well this is a prime example why that is happening.
I understood from her comments that she had originally sent each rebate in for the people who she had given the package as a gift to their addresses. She just followed up on it and they sent her the total check.
It is true. We thought if we all put the 15 rebates together – it would save the company the hassle of 15 checks at $9.99. The form did not say one per household and when we called and the operator said we could put all 15 rebate cards, 1 form with my name – all in one envelope. If the form would have said one per address – we would have done it 15 times – but the form had no limit. My co-workers are all going to be trilled on Monday cause they will have lunch money this week too.

I got $40. All in one check. I did send different forms like the instructions said, but they sent one check, and it didn’t say one per household on the form.
That’s interesting – I sent in THREE and got ONE check and two letters stating ONE PER HOUSEHOLD.
i still havent gotten anything back.. I mailed in to forms…
The directions for this one weren’t very clear or specific and it sounds like even the employees at the 800 number all had different answers to questions! Since it didn’t state one per household, they should have honored all requests.
God is good!!!! Nice surprise. I personally do not do rebates because I never follow up and always forget to make copies, lol.
Well I hope submitting multiple forms didn’t ruin future promotions for the rest of us. I wasn’t able to take part in this promotion (I would have only purchased one) because someone cleared the shelves. Nice.
Yes, I too have learned about rebates – but not in a good way. I try to only do ones that I wont be mad if I dont get $$ back!!
i called back several times and they kept on telling me one per household so they would not send me anymore cheques. i bought 3 gift packs and they told me the best they would do is i could keep the cheque for the one and then give me a subscription to the magazine…
