Great to know. Am starting a weekly show as well &a it would be great to shedule an interview with the “king of Walmart”
Awesome and I am off that day!!!!!
Just wanted to say you did great on your radio show! I enjoyed listening. Can you clarify one thing about price matching for me? I don’t have a butcher counter at my Wal-Mart, so can I still price match meat? I’ve pm-ed produce at the registers, but this seems a little different than that. Thanks!
Yes, we don’t have a butcher counter at ours. but you can PM the meat they have on the shelves.
That was fast! So to clarify, they will do it at the register? Sorry to sound so skeptical, but….let’s just say, it wouldn’t surprise me if a cashier had no clue what I was asking them to do!
You did Great !!! One thing that I have a problem at our walmart is that:
They wont price match with ‘ the card ” price and one day i forgot my ad so I pulled it up on my phone they still wouldnt honor it ! I called the main company but no call back yet. This makes me mad because I live out in the country and dont want to drive 30 min to the nearest Kroger. I even showed them the price match policy but they didnt care even with a manager. Thanks !!!
That really stinks! Thanks for listening to the show!
One of the questions asked on your show mentioned was “Where do you get coupons with a free item up to certain dollars?” There are legitimate ways to get those coupons. I’ve written to different companies with compliments or complaints and recieved those types of coupons in the mail. Sometimes just sending a quick email to different companies will get you higher value coupons.
Just wanted to let you know that you did great today on the radio!! On the Walmart pricing deal. I forgot my ad from Kroger one day and pulled it up on my phone. At my Walmart they won’t honor anything with out an ad and most of all they won’t honor a “with card price “. I called the main office but never heard back from them. I even had the price match policy with me and they wanted to argue with me about it! Needless to say I don’t like our Walmart.
Loved the show!
Is it possible to price match other prices in stores that aren’t necessarily on “sale” that week. Example: Heinz gravy is $1 at Dollar Tree normal price. Will Walmart price match that?
Another topic (maybe an idea for another show?)….I have heard people using a bogo coupon plus an addition coupon for one of the bogo items. How does this work and is it proper use of the coupons?
Example: the recent bogo Vidal Sassoon (buy one shampoo/conditioner get a styling product free) plus they use a $2 off peelie (on any vidal Sassoon product).
Can I listen to a past show? I am often not home at 10:30, but would like to listen later.
Yes you sure can!
At the bottom of my sidebar you will see in blue the BlogTalk Radio image, the 2 shows that I have done are there and you just click them
Yay! Thank you for pointing that out. Going to listen now…
How timely! I have struggled with my efforts to present the price match policy to cashiers and managers at my local Walmart. I am within a mile of my local Walmart but 9 miles from the Meijer store. Because of the distance I don’t receive the Meijer ad in my paper so any time I have tried to price match without the ad in hand (based on the local coupon blogs), I have an issue. The store believes that they need to have the ad otherwise they can’t match it. I can’t pull up the ad on my phone but they can probably confirm it with a phone call or on one of their computers if my few dollars in savings is going to be the demise of the store. I have talked with the store manager (highest level store manager) who was very helpful after my first discussion but 5 days later during the next conversation, he seemed much less interested. Who wants to go to a store where you are made to feel like a criminal and to have sarcastic remarks shouted as you leave (“have a wonderful night”). I have been going out of my way to avoid this store but am interested to hear if I should give them another try. I’m beyond seconds chances but maybe 5th times a charm.
