There are a ton of these at my Wal mart – about 4 end caps full of Color Wonder stuff – but the prices are ranging from $6.96-8.96. I had them scanned and they weren’t less than listed price. Does anyone know when they do mark-downs?
I had the same options as Betsy. None were marked as clearance but there was and end cap full of ones priced at $8.96 and $15. We checked all of the Glow Explosions products, even the ones that weren’t on the end cap and none were that price 🙁 Hopefully soon though!
Same thing at my Wal-mart, but the prices are even higher. The Glow Explosion was $15.00! The Visine eye drops ranged in price from 3.50 – $8.00 and my Air Wick Warmer was $1.07 – so it wasn’t free with the coupon. How can prices be so different at different stores?
Wal-mart is a nationwide (worldwide) chain, however their prices also fluctuate depending on how far things need to travel. No different than the price of gas have a $1.50-$2 price difference from the midwest to one of the coast. I bet they’re still cheaper than other stores in your area though…. which is what they’re trying to beat.
oh… also. for clearence items, this really depends again on the area and what is needed on the shelves that will sell. Even if the same item is in stores it may not sell in one area so they want to get it off the shelves and get something else that will.
I found the glow explosion on clearance for $5 so after coupon, I paid $3
still a great deal and perfect for my nephews birthday in a few weeks!
Yeah mine here in Utah are still priced at $15.00 so only $5.00 off. I wouldn’t pay $13.00 since I dont need them but it was a lovely thought that I could have picked them up for $0.50. I hate running to the store and being disappointed. haha
Kellie, I’m in Utah, too. We don’t need to feel too bad missing out on this deal, because after reading the Amazon reviews of this product, it sounds awful! One star / 11 reviews. Apparently the markers smell horrendous – very strong chemical order. Another reviewer mentioned it left terrible stains behind.

Each walmart gets a “clearance budget” depending on overall store sales. Then mgmt at each store decides how much to markdown each item. You will always find deeper clearance cuts at busy stores, because since their sales are high, they have more money to reduce clearance prices. I really prefer target’s way tho, so much more predictable!
This was $15 at my store in south Florida, but they had the crayola color explosion glow dome for $5.
