Oh my goodness, I went and did this at my WalMart here in west TN this morning. It was so embarrassing! But I stood my ground but did not like what they said when it was all over and done. I bought 4 of the Glade Expressions starter kits that were clearanced at $2.00 and 4 of the Glade Expressions Oil Diffuser starter kits that were clearanced at $5.00. I had 2 Bic razors for $2.94, a toothbrush, 4 Yakisoba noodles, and a pack of gum to absorb some of the overage. It was an act of Congress to get them to use the coupons! They called 2 CSMs over and one said “No, you can’t do the one that is $3.00 off because it’s more than the product.” I said, “Well, the coupon policy says that any overage that I have can be used for the rest of my items”. He said “Well, I’ve never heard of that let me get an asisstant manager.” So she comes over and they say I can do it this time but next time the cashier is not to take coupons that are over the product price. Geesh! I politely told them thank you and apoligized to the couple in line behind me for taking so long. This is why I freak out every time I am going to use coupons at WalMart. But I did pay around $6.94 for it all. It was like $2.93 plus our outrageous 9.75 tax and 8.00 local tax. Thanks Paul for all you do!
I went this am I bought the starter kits 4 @ 2.98 ea and 3 glade difusers 4.00 each! Money making…
Walmart let me use 1 coupon for the starter kit and 1 coupon for the diffuser on Thursday after calling a supervisor over; she said she would do it but only for 1 each. Today I went back to use the other coupons, and the new supervisor wouldn’t let me use the coupons. She said that since it didn’t scan in to their system they can’t take the coupons. Ahhhhh. So stressful
went to my walmart they had the refill for the diffuser for a dollar and there is a coupon inside the box for a dollar off free refills too!!
my local walmart at miami. now down the price as low $1.00each. any way I use the coupon for $3.00
I didnt see the price before I paid.
My coupon came up as invalid last night at my Austin wal-mart. It was the printable $5 from Smart Source. They went ahead and took it anyway, but it really gigot me to worrying, ” how do I know when my printable coupons are valid?”. I always print them from one of your or Tiffany’s links (so I trust my source) but the CSM last night told me some things I had never thought of before and it made me worried that oh no! What if what I’m insisting is real actually turns out to be fake? The CSM showed me a couple of “fraudulent” coupons (a printable $3 Voila coupon and a newspaper $15 sonicare coupon). I recognized those and in my mind they were completely real. But fake? Really? I know somewhere I saw a link on a few websites for the Voila coupon (I just never got aroun to printing it) and the Sonicare coupon seemed totally legit. I don’t get it. I thought I had a pretty good idea on how to know if I was using legit coupons (I don’t buy them and only print from trusted websites…though a few FB coupons…which are sometimes a little odd looking but the crazy thing is I never have a problem with those. It’s the ones from coupons.com, fed plum printable, and smart source printable that give me trouble. Last night another one that came up as invalid was the coupons.com $2 Adidas body spray. This rolls around frequently and when it does I always print it out. (my WM price is like $3.47 or something) I’ve never had problems before. It last night everyone of those Adidas coupons said not valid. What am I doing wrong here? I need help before I go crazy wondering that I’m printing invalid coupons!
I can tell you that if you are printing coupons from our sites they are not invalid. The fact that a CSM is calling coupons fraudulent doesn’t mean that they weren’t mistaken. It is possible someone created fake coupons to look like newspaper coupons but the sites we partner with to print are 100% legit. I would al so check your printer settings and make sure you are printing at the highest quality possible for your print coupons. Thanks! I Hope this Helps.
Thank you! The CSM was very friendly about it–no hard feelings to Wal-Mart–(they save me way too much money for that!…and you guys, too!, for that matter) I think what happens is that the few can sometimes spoil it for the many. What was a flag to him was the wording, “at your local supercenter” he said that was a tick for a possible fraudulent coupon. (REALLY???) sigh…anyway, I COMPLETELY trust coupons that I get from your links (thanks for all of your hard work & your response) my thing is I don’t want to be the ignorant close minded couponer that ruins it for everyone else. I’m still learning, and have a lot to learn, still. Do you have a good response to the question, “Well, where did you get this coupon?” My response of, “From the best Wal-Mart coupon blog out there–I Heart the Mart–and it’s links to Coupons.com, Smart Source, & Red Plumb”… well, cashiers & CSM’s tend to write me off…maybe it’s the term “blog?” I goofed on the pens, but after last night I was questioning myself, thinking oh my goodness! I could get someone fired! I don’t want to do that! Every time a coupon beeps, I think, “Great! What did I do wrong?” I want to make sure I’m doing the right thing and I get so scatter brained sometimes that I almost catch myself thinking, “oh no! I’m an underground fraudulent couponer and I don’t even know it and I’m going to ruin it for everyone!” my friend, the night manager at Wal-Mart last night approved the coupons, but I couldn’t sleep last night, worrying that the coupons were going to come back on him, making him look bad and causing me to loose credibility. I got to thinking, your links are valid but can crazy people hack the links or coupon sites and replace the REAL coupons with FAKE ones? What if I unknowingly passed them along? That can’t happen, can it?
Walmart rejects many of my printables and even insert coupons. I’m convinced that it is their systems and or they somehow program the scanners not to take certain coupons! I have driven down the street to target, hyvee, price chopper and they scan just fine!
My 78 year old mother was shopping with a coupon from an insert and Walmart rejected it. Really? She lives in a different town and same problem. I love this site but honestly for us Walmart in our area(central Missouri) is a joke. We will pay more for something at another store.
