Sweet! Just a heads up – when I signed up the bonus was not added to my account, so I looked up how to contact them, and got a very helpful friendly rep right away who added the bonus for me. He said it can sometimes take up to 24 hrs for it to show in your account but he did it right then for me anyway.

I don’t think it has anything to do with credit. Because of the laws on transferring money after 9/11 it is for identity verification not credit verification.
You also get a $5 credit for every friend you refer (Up to $50!).
