I have been completely overwhelmed by the generosity of the IHTM readers. We have received so many donations I am having to change plans at the last minute and try to find a larger vehicle to accomodate all of the items.
If you are available Wednesday (June 15th) morning to help sort and load I could really use some help.
The Woodlands Christian Church 1202 North Millbend Dr. The Woodlands 77380@ 9:30 to start the process of sorting and loading items to take to Joplin.
You still have time to mail packages to The Vineyard Church in Springfield, MO.

I have been in constant contact with officials in Joplin and they are still in desperate need of the following items.
1. Baby items- FORMULA, Baby Food, wipes, Diapers
2. Feminine hygeine products
3. Toiletries- toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors
4. Giftcards- Walmart and prepaid calling are great.
For those of you in or around the Joplin area I would like to invite you to join me and my son for a workday on Saturday. We will be handing out donations and assisting the effort to restore the city of Joplin in any way we can. I will be getting an update from an IHTM that works for a local TV station to help us coordinate our efforts with other volunteers.
I want to personally thank each and every one of you who has donated to this effort. I do not know of anything that can bring you more joy than serving your brothers and sisters in their time of need. Thank You.
paul, what’s the correct zip for springfield? the last digit is missing and the usps zip code lookup has several for springfield. do you know if local red crosses are accepting donations to forward to joplin? thanks! mdbc77
That’s the correct zip code.
I’m in The Woodlands. Is it too late to bring stuff to the church?
I have baby formula that I’d like to donate – I live in Kingwood – is it too late to bring by sometime this week to the church for the trip? Please let me know!
Thanks so much Paul for organizing this. I live in Joplin and there is still so many people in need. The recovery and rebuilding process is going SO slowly…
I belong to a civic group here in Florida and we collect toiletries all year and then donate around the holidays to a local domestic violence shelter. We have decided to send our items right now to the tornado relief effort in Joplin. I will send the package to the Vineyard Church tomorrow.
Thank You, that is awesome!
