It’s Friday and time for I Heart the Mart’s Freaky Friday Giveaway! If this is your first one, where have you been? Each week I look for a silly or ridiculous product that makes me laugh and give it away here to you!

I love V-Tech products, they are usually very well made and educational in nature. I have to say reading the box made me laugh, it says “Active Play For Your Wild Child”. I mean I know my child is wild, I know that you know that my child is Wild, She probably tried to impale you as I went by with my cart. That doesn’t mean I want you to know that I know that my child is wild.

The kicker that really made me laugh is the turtle. I mean talk about really ironic, an active toy that is designed after the most un-wild beast on the earth. Is it just me or is this kinda funny? I am sure it is really fun, but kinda funny too!

Today is Chick-Fil-A Cow Appreciation Day

** Get crafty today! You know you want to dress like a cow!! Everyone is doing it.

This is our favorite summer time tradition! The Chick Fil A Dress like a cow day! It is coming up on July 13th, you can find out more HERE and also get some help with your costume.

If you dress COMPLETELY up you get an entire meal free. If you wear a partial costume, like just a mask you get a free entree’.

These are my kids dressed up last year. We made masks, they wore white and black with spots, they were completely dressed up and we ate there for breakfast, lunch and dinner free! My kids get WAY into it, they work on their costumes for days and so we make the most of the day by going for each meal. It is a fun tradition in the summer for us and it keeps them busy!

Who is going to be a cow this Friday? I want to see pictures!

Back To School at Walmart: Lunch Boxes Preview!

Lunch boxes at Walmart come in every size and kind. From the insulated and fancy to brown paper bags. We go for insulated and try to reuse from the year before but sometimes they just don’t make it.

You can expect to pay anywhere from $3.97 – up to $15 for a lunch box just depending on what it is made of and what they have inside.

I found the camo backpack ones above for $8.97, they are insulated and are really cool. They look like a miniature backpack, complete with straps and everything.

I tried to talk the little man into the camo one, but he is die hard Batman. The simple screen printed character lunch boxes are $5.92, they are insulated but not well. However, the “cool” factor is what is important if you are 4. Plus, his mean old Mom wouldn’t let him get one at all because “he has a perfectly good nice one I bought at Pottery Barn last year for only $6 with his name on it” see if we take her with us again 🙂

Back again each year, are the Artic Zone lunch boxes for $6.96. Every year these boxes/bags have coupons inside (for the person who buys the lunch box/bag!) or a magazine rebate. They also have the California Innovationsbrand for $6.97 that have the same coupons and deals. You might be able to find the small $3.96 bags (for preschool kids) if your store is carrying them.

I should have taken a picture of the coupons so I could remember what they were, but I was not really impressed with them this year. I also could have been distracted by the birthday girl hanging on my leg, begging for a bouncy ball.
