This is one of my favorite items in Walmart. I mean who was the genius that decided to mix sport with mosquito killing? I can guarantee he is a certified member of the Mensa Society. I love that it looks like a child’s play toy!
Now, what he didn’t think about was the dumb people like me that would be buying it. He probably also didn’t envision them being close to the glo-sticks or the fact that those two items would put together to form my kids favorite game: Bug Zapper tag!
Here’s how you play:
1-Give each child at least four glow sticks and place them on different appendages. Wrists, ankles, put a few together around the waist or if you are totally nuts they make a pretty necklace.
2-Give each child their very own Bug Zapper
3-Send them out on a nice Texas Summer night!
4- Doesn’t matter, as soon as they are outside they will start running from the bugs or the other child with a bug zapper trying to get the bugs around them, either way it is a lot of fun to watch from a screened in porch.
NOTE: Keep one bug zapper for yourself in case a kid decides to come near you!

I am going to start doing something new here on I Heart the Mart. As many of you know I walk the aisles of Walmart an obscene amount of time. Let me assure you that as tedious as it is, it is so worth it! Not only do I get to find you the hottest Walmart Deals and Price match opportunities, I get to see some pretty funny stuff. Each week I am going to be giving something away that either tickled me or that I found amusing.
I am assuming that because Merliah Barbie has body art she is 18 years of age. I don’t know if that makes her age inappropriate for your daughter (or son, not judging) but most of the Barbies at our house end up with body art or a hair cut at some point. I will tell you that I was a little disappointed to find out that she can’t stand alone unless on a surfboard, and borderline distraught to find out that she can not surf unsupported. It turned out okay though, when some lady at the store told me that she can do it on her own if she just gets a little encouragement…

Please note that this week Barbie did not actually tickle me, if so, they would need to add that to her disclaimer and my wife would dismember her.
