Guinness Beef Stew Recipe

INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 lb Beef Chuck cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces
1/2 cup Flour
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
2 tsp minced Garlic
3 cup Beef Stock
1 bottle Guinness Extra Stout
1/2 can Tomato Paste
2 tbsp Brown Sugar
1/4 tsp dried Thyme
1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
2 pounds of small Red Potatoes, quartered
1 Onion, chopped
1 lb Carrots, chopped
1 Bay Leaves

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350.

Mix together flour salt and pepper.
Heat oil in dutch oven over medium high heat.
Dredge meat in small batches and brown in oil.

Remove browned beef and set aside.
Add Onion to pan and cook until golden (about 5 minutes).
Add Guinness and garlic and scrape browned bits from bottom of pan.
Add back browned beef and remainder of dredging flour and bring to a simmer.
Then, add in the beef stock, tomato paste, brown sugar, thyme, and Worcestershire sauce.
Place in oven for 2 hours or until meat is fork tender.
Add in carrots and return to oven for 1 hour.

Add in potatoes and return to oven for 1 hour or potatoes are cooked through.

There comes a time in a Mommas life where it’s just easier to create something out of what is in the pantry. With that said, that’s the reason I created my own Honey Cinnamon Butter recipe. Because when you have a food craving it’s gotta be satisfied. I’m sure all you fellow foodies will understand!

As a busy Momma of multiple children it’s often times hard to just run up to Walmart and grab what I need. I know you totally get it 😉 Not only will I leave with what I went in for, but, come out with so much more!

On Sunday night I like to create a larger dinner for my family that I just don’t have the time for during the week. So I made the KFC Copycat Chicken Pot Pie recipe for dinner and REALLY wanted rolls with a Honey Cinnamon Butter to go along with it. It just sounds amazing and when you take a bite it’s like Heaven. Really. It’s that good!

So instead of running up to Walmart, in the cold, to get some cinnamon butter, I opted to try my hand at creating my own Honey Cinnamon Butter recipe. Guys, it turned out better than expected! In the past, I’ve made a cinnamon butter with powered sugar, but, wanted more of a texture in the bite. I opted for brown sugar (that’s what I had in the pantry!), unsalted butter, cinnamon and honey. I literally put it all into a large bowl and mixed it up until everything was blended well. I put the butter mixture into a small Pyrex dish and am able to use it whenever I want!

This morning I needed a super quick breakfast as I needed to get the kiddos out the door. With the snow on the ground it’s a freakin’ chore to get them loaded up and out the door on time. The first thing I saw was the Thomas English Cinnamon Raisin Muffins in the bread tray. I slid them into the toaster, slathered on my Heavenly Honey Cinnamon Butter Recipe and enjoyed a nice warm cup of coffee as I gathered my thoughts for today.

Friends. This is a really super simple recipe to make. If you aren’t a cook, don’t like to bake or just enjoy buying the store bought stuff, please try this recipe! It’s great on regular toast, pancakes and french toast.

So let’s get you started making the most Heavenly Honey Cinnamon Butter you’ve ever had!

• 1 stick (1/2 c) unsalted butter
• 1/3 c light brown sugar
• 2 tbsp honey
• 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

Directions:

1. Place all the ingredients into a large bowl.

2. With a mixer on medium blend together until all the ingredients are well incorporated.

3. Store butter in a air tight container.
