Coupon states “No Cash Back if Coupon Value Exceeds Retail Price” This will vary store to store. Most stores will not adjust the coupon but some will it is up to your Store Manager. I have talked to customer relations and that is the answer they have given me.

Will Walmart match CVS price after Extrabucks if it is printed? Next week Womens Schick Quatro will be $8.99 with $4 extra bucks then it also ads a $2 manufacturers coupon. The final BOLDED price for the item is $2.99. How will this work??
Walmart’s Policy is that they will not match after ECB or RR pricing. There are some managers at stores that do allow it, but it is totally up to them!
Thank you for the great post!! I love checking your website for updates to find great deals like this!
Coupon clearly states ” No cash back if coupon value exceeds retail price”. How would Wal-Mart be able to give me an overage amount?
It is actually not cash back if it is applied to other items in your transaction.
They won’t give you cash back, but the overage would apply to whatever else you are buying.
@Nickie…I too am curious about that. Some cashiers are not going to pay attention to that and give the cash back anyway (This is the hard part about ethical couponing…It would be hard say no to a store giving you overage on a product)
Just out of curiosity, does anyone have an idea of why the manufacturer even cares if the store gives overage or not? As far as I know, they’re still going reimburse the store the full amount whether they adjust the coupon down or not.
That’s why it bothers me that stores adjust down, because they’re actually making money off me using a coupon!
My coupons do not say no cash back.
Jennifer mine DO NOT say that either!
The No Cash Back is written in the bottom right hand corner of the coupon
ok… so I just did this and Cascade trail size and a couple more things also I will send Paul a copy of my rec. they put the extra towards my other items. I know each Walmart is different, but I’m in Ohio myself!!
What part of Ohio? I know the Walmart in Springfield, on bechtle, is amazing at taking coupons….as long as its not one lady who hates my guts because she shops at SAL…..But other than that they take about any coupon there. And really good about it.
I did the $6/2 deal this morning and had the overage applied. Worked like a charm. Woohooooooo!
Just went to my Wal Mart in Bartow FL (not my Wal Mart anymore) and tried to use my coupons and they flat refused!!! The cashier actually rang up 4 of the razors and used 2 coupons which went thru fine. Then she said she needed to check with the CSM because she didn’t want to get written up. I explained that the coupon said ANY, that I knew about the “No cash back” and just wanted the overage to be applied, then I showed her a copy of the corporate coupon policy to support my clain. The CSM said no, that I had to get the exact razor pictured, so I asked to speak to the manager. Same story, so I called corporate after standing there for 30 minutes and they said it would be another 30 minutes before someone could call the manager and tell them what to do and then they would meet me at the register to explain although she said that the way I was explaining the coupon fit the policy.
Finally after an hour and having the manager tell me that I was using illegally copied coupons because I had 4 (I have 2 computers) and that really the manufacturer is wrong and Wal Mart is fighting to have them change the wording AND telling me that even if they adjusted the price down in the register, they would never get reimbursed because “ANY” didn’t really mean any, it meant “any 2 of the products pictured” I lost my patience!!! I told them I would not be shopping there anymore, left my cart full of stuff and walked out!!
Funny thing is there are about Wal Marts within spitting distance from this one, and this is the only one that ever gives me grief!!! Oh, and she also said that the manufacturers of tide and cascade are also wrong as well because they really mean what’s pictured and not any side even when there is no size restriction. Yep, Bartow Wal Mart has the smartest people in the planet working there, even smarter than corporate who wrote the policy and proctor gamble and schick who wrote the coupons.
Sorry about the wrant, it’s just very frustrating!!!
my walmart is the bartow store also. and let me just say, they have become so rude and crazy about taking coupons. I have to go through scenarios like you just posted about every time I’m there. Its completely insane. they claim you have to buy exactly what is pictured on the coupon even if the coupon clearly states any variety any size etc. I have started avoiding them like the plague unless I dont have any coupons to use. I have started using the winter haven walmart and they are awesome about coupons.
i did this scenario today at the winter haven walmart and got the overage with no problems whatsoever!
Well, I’m headed to Winter Haven for something today, so I will try it there, of course they will probably be out of the roazors today. That’s how my luck works!
I got 4 packs and there was tons left when I was there yesterday! so hope you are able to get some! 🙂
I live in Thomasville, GA and like you have two computers and printed 4 coupons. Unfortunately, WalMart only had 4 pkgs of Schick disposable razors that were 12 packs so I could only use two coupons. However, I had the same issue from the cashier and the CSM that because the register said that the product didn’t match the coupon and I must buy what’s pictured I decided to just give up purchasing the product. I tried to explain that it was because of the overage that it wasn’t ringing up but they told me the register would have stated that.
All I can say is that whenever I’ve tried to use coupons with this WalMart and it’s anything out of the ordinary like this, these folks don’t want to expend any extra energy(God forbid they should, they might lose a lb or two) looking into it. In other word, there is absolutely no customer service at my WalMart. And the next closest one is about 40 miles away in Tallahassee, FL. I’ll just wait and find another deal at CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Harvey’s or Publix.
These days there’s only a few items I’ll buy at WalMart since Publix changed their policy to no longer except the $x/$xx coupons unless the competitor was within 5 miles of their store. We’re definitely limited here in Thomasville.
Bummer. I feel your pain.
Oh yes, wish WalMart would have a consistent policy. If one does it, so should the remainder. Annnd WalMart should have meetings to explain how these coupons are handled. But that would make too much sense.
Thanks so much for posting this deal….Printed 3 coupons…Got 6 packs of razors…The free reach toothbrush(my walmart had a double pack for 1.97)..a little 50 cent bag of chips for my hungry toddler and still walked away with 6 dollars and change from overage…I am amazed!!…Keep doing what you do Paul because you are helping alot of us families save and even earn money(:
I bought my Schick Disposable Twin Blade Razors, 10-pack $1.97, Regular Price i ad 2 coupons for $6/2 i got 4 packs (I made $4.12). When i got home i saw a coupon inside the pack of razors for $3.00 off my next pack and i have 4 of them($12.00 in savings). I will have razors to last the rest of my life!!!!
I just went to my walmart in Mansfield OH and got refused to use this coupon, get this because it did not look like the picture!!!! And the store manager said the same thing. I guess this is my first refusal, I was frustrated but kept my cool, so I am going to another walmart tonight to try and get them. Is anyone else having issues using this coupon?
I live in California. I just had the shopping trip from hell. I went to get all the razors and wet ones on sale. I had six coupons for every item. They would only let me use one coupon per item. I have never had that problem before. So I went to another Walmart, came problem but, he said my coupons were illegal because he couldn’t see the picture. I told him if it scans it is good and they all did scan. He called the manger and she said let her have her things.
I was able to get 10 razors I used 4 $6.00 coupons and Schick Disposable Twin Blade Razors, 10-pack +2 12 pk @ $1.97 plus some packs had $3/2 so I used one of them. DD and DS are on committee for making packages for needy so I thought this would be a good start. Make 10 baskets… Now to look for other deals. Thanks for the heads up
Well, here goes a rant…I just went to WalMart in Des Moines, IA to get this deal, and it was just an absolute mess!!! The cashier told us first that it must be the wrong item, and I politely mentioned that is says any except the 2 count, and she gave me some attitude right away about that. Then she told me we couldn’t get it because it would have to be a specific kind, and then my husband politely told her that the razors we picked out were actually pictured on the coupons. She called over a manager to look at them, who first of all told me she wouldn’t take two of my coupons because they looked like they were photocopied (I was trying to save ink so I just printed them in black and white!!). Then she told me I could only use one coupon per transaction (of course, the coupon says per purchase of the item, but we didn’t fight her on that because it was getting a little crazy). So then another manager and a cashier came over to see what was going on, and she told them that she thought it was wrong for us to get money back (after I showed her the coupon policy, and also after she told me she knew all about the coupon system and how it works). My husband was nicely trying to explain that it was in the policy and she repeated multiple times “I’m talking to my manager! Do you mind??!!” She just kept saying that it was wrong to give us the money, even though everything we did was right AND it was right in the store’s policy that I had in hand! One of the managers said everything was correct and had her do two transactions for two of our coupons. She reluctantly gave over the money for the transactions without saying anything to us and we left. We decided it just wasn’t worth the hassle to go to another WalMart in our area to use the other two coupons. We were both so frustrated when we left, even though we had been very nice throughout the whole process. I didn’t realize they said “no cash back” on the coupons until I read these comments, but they didn’t notice at all. Honestly, we would have accepted if the manager just said they would cover the price of the razors but not give cash back. I thought this was going to be a good experience to get money back, but it was terrible!!!
The best i would suggest is calling CORPORATE AND EXPLAINING TO THEM IN DETAIL OF WHAT HAPPENED, EVERY TIME I HAVE A PROBLEM THIS IS WHAT I DO THERE IS NO REASON YOU SHOULD HAVE TO FIGHT BACK WITH EMPLOYEES THAT WORK THERE MAKES NO SENSE, AND IT GETS SO FRUSTRATING AFTER A WHILE. ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG. THIS IS THE NUMBER IF YOU DON’T ALREADY HAVE IT (1-800-925-6278) I WOULD SUGGEST SAVING IT AND EVERY TIME U HAVE A PROBLEM CALL CORPORATE AND COMPLAIN TRY TO ALSO GET THE EMPLOYEES NAMES TO THEY CAN BE ADDRESSED PROPERLY. HOPE THIS HELPS. 🙂
Thank you Ana! I will do that first thing in the morning!
Lindsay and Johnnal, I feel your pain! Although in the end I did get to use my coupons and got overage applied to groceries in cart, it was a big hassle. Before I even got to register an employee saw razors in my cart and came over to start asking me if I had “those illegal” coupons. I told her that I had legitimate coupons made available by the manufacturer. She proceeded to tell me that another customer had already been in this morning and her “illegal coupons” wouldn’t scan and she didn’t get anything. I was as polite as could be but told her that they were legitimate and that I would try them at the register. I expected her to run to register and warn cashiers that I was coming, but she didn’t. Oh, my. At register the cashier saw razors and started in on the same line: “Do you have those illegal coupons?”, and here we went again. What an episode. Of course I was polite, of course they scanned just fine, of course CSM was called (the flashing light! argh), but CSM was friendly and said (to cashier who didn’t want to accept that the coupons went through just fine), “If they scan, you take them.” She wanted to argue with him! MY MY MY.
Wow, that’s crazy! I can’t believe they were calling them illegal! I just wish that the cashier I had wouldn’t have had such a horrible attitude! All she had to do was ask the manager and leave it at that, but she just kept saying how it was “wrong” to get money back and she thought it was pretty much outrageous. However, she told me that she knew ALL about the coupon policy and didn’t need me to explain it to her. I didn’t want her opinion, I just wanted her to do her job. It’s not like I was doing anything wrong or illegal, plus WalMart gets all that money back! She said she knew that, too, but it was still wrong…ha!
You folks have crazy Walmarts. I go to either the Auburndale, FL one on the way home from work, or I go to South Lakeland near home, and I’ve never had any problems with my coupons, with the exception of a free coupon because I forgot one time Walmart does not take coupons for free items. Oops 🙂
I think the Auburndale walmart is prob the best at taking coupons because thier cashiers and csm’s have been trained on coupons from the lady that was on extreme couponing from Auburndale. I wished I lived closer to that store because I would love to shop at that WM!
I have had PLENTY of trouble with the Mulberry walmart on anything trial size! I’ve just given up on trial size things at Walmart. But I have found them pretty good about everything else!
I live in IL most of the time they don’t look at my coupons. They just scan them. I try to go to the younger men. They seam to be the best at dealing with coupons. I am going to try and do the razors today if there is any left. LOL
Good luck Amber! I hope you have a much better experience!
I am starting to get so depressed… all i wanna do is do a good job couponing but i always feel like i get screwed over or do a terrible job…. i went in to get the razors… both shick 12 packs one at 5.97 other at 1.97 they had a sticker on it to knock off 3 bucks f0r both which brought it down to 8494 i gave her the 6$ off coupon and she said they could not use it… i asked why n she said it would but me under…. i said what bout using the overage to pay for the rest of my items and she said no it doesnt work like that…. so i caved…. i than gave a coupon for two o-cello sponges… one was only 98 cents the other 2.98 bc i couldnt find another 98 cent one the coupon was 75 cent off so i basically still paid 3.21 and i just got shave gel for a buck and candy for a buck…… grand total after i got my reciept was 15.90 as i walked out i noticed oned of the razors was rung up as 5.97 which clearly said on the shelf 1.97 i really dont know what im doing wrong… i really am frustrated and contemplating quiting couponing… i feel like i go in to try to save money n i still spend too much…
Tony, hang in there! couponing is as much confidence as it is learning the process. If you reread your comment it will tell you everything that went wrong. 1. you can’t cave, being polite doen’t exclude you from standing your ground when you are right. Ask for the manager and have the coupon and PM policy with you. 2. Be flexible with your trip, you don’t have to use your coupons right away, in fact many of the best deals are with coupons you have held onto and get to use on a sale in the future. 3. sometimes they have the wrong product in the bins, I have even posted deals this way. All of these things are situations EVERY couponer has been faced with. The end goal is to save money and I’m assuming that is why you started. It gets easier and the deals get better the more you do it. You will get it, I promise!
Thank you paul.. p really appreciate it it could have been in the wrong bin but thats why i look at those tags on the shell to match and make sure im taking the right product… but i will keep trying…. im just certain i need to be more assertive than i will be spending less instead of more..
i have 4 walmarts in my south florida area..and every time i go to one..i have issues..UGHH. i even try going out to garden wher its not so busy. i always get told…we dont take competitor coupons, or we dont take printed coupons,..they get aggravated when i do multiple transactions!! always something! but ill take my issues to CS and they usually handle the issue or explain to me the coupon im using..etc. theres a NEW WM being built literaly 1/2m from me, so i hope they are more educated on their coupon policy…
I have 2 $6.00 and 2 $3.00 coupons for the Schick razors.. I’m almost afraid to use them after reading your comments! o.O I am in southern California though and so far I’ve only had the cashiers pause for a second to read the coupon before scanning them. (whew!) I’m going to try to use them tonight or tomorrow though as there are 4 of us who use razors in my family and this is a great deal! wish me luck haha. 🙂
Aime, any luck?
I tried this last night at the Walmart in Champaign, IL and the coupon beeped at the cashier, she handed me the coupon back and told me that I couldn’t use it. I was running late for my sons football game, so I took the coupon, paid for my groceries and left. I plan to go back and return the razors, as I don’t want them since the coupon wasn’t accepted. Has anyone else had problems with the cash register not accepting the coupon?
I think it is asing for verification, it should be accepted.
I got 8 packs of these razors at the Country Club Hills, IL Walmart, and didn’t have a problem getting the overage added to my cart. I had more problems with them not knowing the ad match policy. I showed them and they were still telling me I was wrong. When I was leaving the supervisor came up to me, and told me I was right. I was thinking price matching wasn’t worth the hassle, but took a look at my savings. I’m not going to let someone who doesn’t know their stuff get me discouraged. Keep trying and find you a cashier that your comfortable with. Today, I didn’t go in the line one of the cashiers I had success with was in, but if I find another good deal. I’m going for it.
I went to my local WalMart today and bought 2 packages of the Schick $1.97 razors. I bought 2 packages and was excited about the 2 freebie Schick ST razors as those are the only ones my hubby uses. Each pack contained a $3/1 Q for the Schick ST razors which are $5.97 a pack. I then bought 2 Schick ST packages for $5.97 each and used both $3/1 Q. Each of those packs had a $3/2 peelie on the front for future purchases and the inside had an additional $3/1! Holy razor coupons!
I called customer service at the corporate headquarters who told me this coupon was fraudulent, they had flagged the coupon, and would no longer accept it. They cautioned me to be very careful when using Internet coupons as many are counterfeit or are a fraud. I tried to tell them that walmarts across the nation were accepting them. I knew there would be an overage and had plenty of other items in my buggy–knew I would not get cash back. Planned to donate razors to charity and was only using one coupon. oh well–has anyone else contacted the corporate office?
How can they be fraudulent? They are still online this morning.
Hello! I am very new to the concept of couponing and I’m super excited about this one! However, when I click the link, that coupon is not there. I don’t know if it is gone and I missed it or if I am doing something wrong. Please help!!! Thanks!
Yes, This one has reached it’s print limit. In a lot of ways this is like a race. I try to get the best deals up as fast as I can so that my readers have the best chance to print coupons that get them the best deals.
Paul, I went to my Walmart in Kissimmee, Florida this evening and when I tried to use the $6/2 razor coupons I had printed the cashier immediately called the CSM, who then called the store asst. manager, Brenda. Brenda told me that because the coupons stated no cash back would be given, the razors that I was buying had to cost more than $6. I told her I was not wanting cash back, just the razors. She said that the 10 packs (now 12) marked at $1.97 did not qualify and that the razors had to cost more than the coupon amount. She refused to take them.
I am always having problems at this Walmart. They will even have a CSM come over to the register when I am in line because they know that I use coupons and get fantastic deals. They act as though I am robbing them and they will pick apart, line by line, the wording in a coupon. I have even had them tell me I could only use one total coupon per transaction, even though I was buying 30 different items and had different coupons for all. If one coupon states “limit one coupon per item” or something similar they will literally take that to mean I can only use 1 coupon at checkout. Every time I go there it is a giant hassle, but it is so convenient to my house, and I am not going to allow their misunderstandings of their own corporate policies and coupon language to chase me away.
Hi Paul,
When a coupon rings up overage, WalMart’s cash registers will alert the cashier to call a manager to the register for approval before the sale can continue – per my 4 local stores. I have 2 nearby WMs and 2 nearby WM Neighbord Markets. 3 of the stores HAPPILY follow WM’s national coupon policy, the other store treats all couponers like criminals, takes 20 – 30 minutes to ring up the sale and argues every pont.
The arguement that cracks me up the most is “It has to look like the picutre”. No it doesn’t. When a coupon says “ANY” and makes no other stipulations, it means “ANY” of that product, no matter the size, color, scent, flavor or packaging. It’s written in black & white and is a legal binding contract. There’s no interpretation implied from the picture. It says ANY it means ANY.
The one store Asst Manager told me that they are having problems with couponers returning items without a receipt for full price. She went so far as to cautionme to make sure to bring my receipt if I wanted to return anything. I actually had a security guard check my bags, for the first time in over 20 years, after I spent almost an hour arguing with the front end mananger. Once the FE Mgr called an Asst. Store Mgr the deal was quickly rung up and I was on my way.
I’m loving the coupon inside the $1.97 Schick razors. $3 off ANY Shick razors. You can buy another $1.97 pack AND get a $1.03 cash back – legally. They have a nice long expiration date too, in case your local WM is temporarily sold out. I’ve even seen a similar coupon as a peelie on some of the outsides of the packs. Have fun WM shoppers!

The Walmart in my town, West Bend, WI, is totally unpredictable about these kinds of coupons. I think it depends on which cashier you get. I have identified a few who are not at all coupon friendly, and just avoid them. I haven’t been able to find the 12 packs of these razors at my store. I think they are either gone or walmart has pulled them off the shelf, making it impossible to have this deal. The cheapest Shick razors were $5.97 each.
Last week, I was puying 3 crest trial size complete toothpaste for .97 ea and had the $2 MC that were in the paper a few weeks ago. The cashier refused them, called the CSM who reluctantly said to take them. It took 15 minutes to check out and all the people behind me were huffing and ticked off. So was I. I talked to the Mgr about the cashiers needing to know THEIR OWN COUPON POLICY. He was apologetic and said he’s talk to her.
I just purchased my $1.97 razors and YES they had coupons in them too. The coupon is $3/1 Schick ST2 or Slim Twin 12 ct. I can go back and get more with these!! Donations coming up!
I can’t seem to find the coupon for the $6/2 Schick Disposable Razors. What zip code did you use?
LOVE your site…Thanks!
The print is no longer available. Hopefully it comes back!
I’ve had some of the same problems at Wal-Mart in LaPlata, Maryland. They told me I couldn’t use the Cascade and Tide on Trial size, even when it said any size and told me I couldn’t use the Tide, because it wasn’t in the picture. I avoid them and go to Virginia to a Supercenter. In my experience, the supercenters always seem much better with pricematching and coupons. I still cashier profile at the supercenter — prefer young males.
I did this deal a week ago and the cashier adjusted the coupon down. Today, I flagged down a manager and showed him the coupon and he said YES I can have overage! and if I had any trouble to call him to the register. Got to register. Cashier did’nt know what to do, so she called someone over and she agreed I get the overage! Yippie! (didn’t need manager after all) I was able to add the $6+ dollars to my cart! It pays to ask…literally!
Just got back from trying to use the $6/2 schick razors coupon on the $1.97 razors (that finally got re-stocked), and the register would not accept it. Also tried to use the $5 schick hydro coupon on the $5.47 hydro 7 razor and it was denied too. It being friday night I didn’t feel like holding up one of the few lines they had open so I told the cashier to forget it. Does anyone know why these coupons aren’t working? Has anyone else been able to use these at walmart recently? Maybe its just a problem with my store.
I’ve just about had it with shopping at walmart. Everytime there is a good deal free, cheap or overage…my walmart pulls the item off the shelf. Like the schick razors. They pulled the $1.97 off until the coupons expired then they magically appeared back on the shelf. They also pulled the trial cascade.
What zip code are you using, because i have used several and i have not seen the coupon =(
