I have been intentionally quiet today. As I was watching the footage from 10 years ago today, I think about all the heroes that are still fighting for our freedom. I so appreciate the men and women who serve in our military, the firefighters and all law enforcement personnel that protect our way of life. They protect each one of us whether we are aware of them or they of us. They serve our country and communities with honor each day and each night so we can take our kids to school, watch our kids play sports, witness all the special moments that we have with our family and friends. They are willing to sacrifice the chance to experience all of these things in order to provide the opportunity that we can. I love the country that we live in and the lives that we are able to lead because of the men and women who have served throughout our country’s history and still serve today. Thank You and God Bless everyone who serves and loves the United States of America.

very nicely said Paul.
I have been watching this footage all day too. I didn’t realize how horrible this was when it happened ten years ago as I was just a freshmen in highschool but now I can see how truly horrible this was.
I was trying to explain what happened to my daughter and her friend today. Both of their dads are in the Marine Corps, and my husband has been deployed before so I believe it is important for them to know what they are going to work for everyday.
thanks paul frrom me and my husband (parents of five). since then very few people really stop and remember that fact. i went over twice and my husband is gearing up for round 5. when we both got back in 03 people were appreciative and took time out in there outing (ie gas station or restaurant) to shake our hand or pat on the back. now a days it is far a between. so big thanks paul and keep up the great blog.
Just an FYI to the couponers out there- not sure if it has ever been mentioned here- but you can send your recently expired coupons overseas to the troops to use. They can use them for 6 months past the expiration. Just google “Coups for Troops” and find a group to send them too. :o)
send them to* (not too!)
God bless you Paul. Currently, my son is serving in Japan and my sister-in-law in Afghanistan. I am humbly grateful as well.
