  3. I think we are going to go to a local neighborhood that gives out the best candy 🙂 Either that or stay home and hand out candy. We did a fall festival Friday night at church so the kids kinda feel like they already had Halloween. I am fine either way!

  9. For Halloween we are going to our city’s annual Halloween Parade, it’s a great event around here, it lasts about 3 hours.

  39. My boys and I do not trick-or-treat but we are staying home and answering the door for the kids. My sons will dress-up in their SUPERHERO costumes. My oldest son said that he is going to hang out the front window and whistle at the cute girls.
    This year we are passing out Wendys frosty coupons and Cars/Princess pencils. Kids get enough candy, why not do something different!? The girls next door said that they are coming here first to make sure that they get a frosty coupon 🙂

  49. Well considering we have 18 inches of snow.. I do not think we will be getting any trick-or-treaters in central Massachusetts. So, the forbidden candy is now all mine and my husbands with some scary movies and a bottle of Shiraz!! Perfect way to spend our first Halloween together as husband and wife 🙂

  95. I’m dressing my youngest up tomorrow and we are spending part of the afternoon at “Boo at the Zoo” . Then going to our town’s Halloween party downtown. All of the merchants give out candy to the kids, and there’s lots of music, crafts and games. It’s a nice alternative to traditional trick or treating.. it’s always a lot of fun 🙂

But because its freezing outside, I took them trick-or-treating inside of the mall 🙂 Being a single mom of 3 is hard- But its times like this that makes it all worth it! & Hey we saved money & the kids loved it 🙂

  472. We have already spent our halloween night. We went to The Eternity House here in town last night. It is a great alternative to a haunted house…to me it’s more scary because it is real.   599. I will be trick or treating with my nephew. He was born 3 years ago at 2 lbs, 2 oz. So, he is the “miracle child” that I enjoy every minute with.

  602. Saturday we did a “Trunk-or-Treat” at church and then on Monday we go for some Trick-or-Treat fun as well. Oh, and the school parties too.

  904. I will be taking my son trick treating which I havent been able to do in about 10 years. Because I always had to work on Halloween. So he just turned 11 two days ago, and more than likely next year, I wont be his trick or treating buddy. 🙁 So today will be special. Memories in the making

Well First off LOVE this site I just found it, Now for our Halloween Plans, My Husband and I are in our 50’s and it seems like the older we get them more the Holidays mean to us, we have 5 children and 2 grandchildren ages 4 and 5, Grandma and Pop-Pops house have been ready since Mid-Sept, we like to tart early from about the time you pull into of sub. you can see this Orange GLOW, YUP that’s our house, Grave yard, Pumpkin Patch, Goast Tree, Spider webs and strobe lights…. we dress up every year and hand out candy and warm apple toddy for the parents, this year we are Blessed to have my sons girlfriend with us and her little girl age 2, they will be dressed us as Fred, Wilma, and Pebbles Flinstone Sover cute, People in our Sub, bring their kids to see our house, parents tell us how they love taking their kids to us every year it has become a tradistion for them, We have a fog machine going and Mike Jacksons song thiller playing along with the monster mash, and the kids dance in the grave yard fog, love it!!1

  1199. OUR TRICK OR TREATING WAS LAST THURSDAY, SO FOR HALLOWEEN TODAY THE OLDER 3 KIDS ARE AT SCHOOL AND MY YOUGEST ALONG WITH MY GREAT NIECE ARE AT HOME WITH ME. MY WONDERFUL HUSBAND STAYED HOME TO HELP TODAY AS I AM FEELING YUCKY! BUT HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!

  1200. My church is taking the youth to Austin Park and Pizza. Pizza, games, rides, & of course CANDY!!!!

  1201. We would be handing out candies tonight with all the free candies we’ve gotten using coupons and price matching at Walmart! 🙂

  1203. Taking my 17 month old trick or treating around our neighborhood and stopping at the local churches and stores along the way 🙂 He is obsessed with SHrek so that is what he is being this year…he cutest Shrek ever!!!!

  1207. Kids get out of school early enough (and I’m assuming no cruel teacher will give homework today) so we will do pumpkin seed roasting & caramel apples right after school. Grandparents are coming over for an early dinner and then I will take the kids trick or treating. This is the first year that the littlest will kind of understand-so fun! =)

  1209. Unfortunately, I got stuck working for a few hours during the day! But, after work I will come home and watch Hocus Pocus! I love that movie, never gets old. I have two pumpkins sitting here, that I never had time to carve so maybe I will do that too!

  1213. Halloween is like Christmas for my kids…. they have been counting down to the day they get to dress up. We will start are trick or treating at 4 at our local bank filled with activities for the kids, then to the mall and a few blocks is about all they can handle.

  1214. I am putting on a party for 30 2nd graders this morning. After school I am taking my child and my 5 step-children trick or treating.

  1215. Halloween festivities were Saturday in our town so tonight we are staying home. We are going to eat a nice dinner, eat some candy, and then watch a scary movie. My daughter will be in bed early because waking her up in the morning for school is a nightmare.

  1222. I am a nanny so this morning we did some halloween crafts. This evening my husband and I and the family I nanny for are all going trick or treating on TRICK OR TREAT STREET ON TYBEE ISLAND in Savannah, Ga its going to be so AWESOME!!!!!!! cant wait to see all the little ones trick or treating and I am excited that my baby will be here next year for trick or treating I am due this march 🙂 hope everyone has a safe Halloween and dont forget flashlight or glow sticks for the kids tonight 🙂

  1223. Sunday, we went to the fall festival at the church and today I have to work. So, Daddy is staying home and passing out candies with the little one. The teens are going out trick or treating with friends, and the 2nd grader is going with a neighbor trick or treating.

  1224. I’ll be making sure my older son is doing his schoolwork to bring his grades up and running to pick up my daughter from a friends after trick or treat. I live in the country, so no trick or treaters here.

Then I plan to help my daughter, the local museum director, set up her booth on the town square for trick or treaters tonight. I’ll help her get into her 1910s outfit and fill a 1770s coffin with goodies! Luckily the grandkids are on fall break so I have plenty of time to get Dorothy and the Tin Man ready and to Trunk or Treat, games and eat hot dogs at church. If I have time I might put on my usual witch outfit even if I’m not working a church booth this year. Once we hit church and walk to the square they should have more than enough candy so we’ll help their mom and head home. No school tomorrow. Yay!

  1235. Both my kids are older, so no trick or treating, and my neighborhood is a bit far for any trick or treaters. But, I plan on working on organizing my coupons and planning my shopping list for this week. This site is great, love how you make it so easy to plan out my shopping with your tips. TY! 🙂

  1259. As tradition stands, I will take the kids to our firehouse for the costume contest .Followed by door to door trick or treating for about an hour or until I can no longer feel my toes. Which ever comes first.

  1338. For Halloween my fiance and I are going to dress up and pass out candy to the children in our neighborhood. I price matched my candy at walmart and got a GREAT deal! I also went through my stockpile and put together a few goodie bags with the everyday items that people use. I am an Elementary Education major and I am working at an inner city school with children who don’t have a lot. I am putting these bags together for some of the students that are currently homeless or whose families are struggling.
