Coupons.com started their Savings Club 1 year ago and they are celebrating by offering you a 1 year subscription for free. The normal cost is $30.

What is Savings Club? It is a premium coupon service that offers higher value coupons than you can get on regular coupons.com. I think this can be a great value if you print coupons at $30 a year, but they are giving it away for free so you might as well try it.
I do want you to know that they are asking you to input credit card information and you will be charged in one year if you do not cancel it. This does bother me a little bit, but you are all big people and can make your own choices.:-)
I have already scheduled a post to remind everyone that wants to cancel for next August!
I took advantage of this deal. I might change it to my wally world prepaid credit card if they let me just in case i forget to cancel. (I only put a little money on there every now and then for these purposes) I’m very forgetful, lol.
don’t know why I have to put in my credit card info, if it’s free at this point.
Won’t be signing up, and that makes me sad.
Thanks
Linda
he reason why is that they normally charge for this program. That is the only way to sign up and basically you are signing up the same way and getting a coupon code to make the first year free.
Hi Paul, Is there anyway to get the free 1 year subscription without having to give the copmpany my credit card information?
There isn’t 🙁 The reason why is that they normally charge for this program. That is the only way to sign up and basically you are signing up the same way and getting a coupon code to make the first year free.
Unfortunately there is not. I did do this and I did not get charged. I am also going to give you guys notice next August to remind you to cancel.
Thanks for scheduling a reminder!!! That’s awesome! I want to do this so bad, but unfortunately, I do not even have $30 on my credit card. I tried to still process it with my card but they declined it 🙁 I am guessing because the money isn’t there?
If you dont have $30.00 on your debit card it wont accept it and give you the free membership,I tried!
will, they probably do like gas stations and do a “pending” charge that drops off in a few days.
thanks for scheduling a reminder for us! I was trying to think how or where to leave me a note that will stay in the same place for a year!!! LOL I am going to try this and keep track of the extra savings just to see if $30 is worth it. I do print a lot of coupons since I don’t have access to many inserts in my area. But not sure if the extra savings will add up over $30.
Thanks so much, I am glad you appreciate it. I hope you are printing all your coupons from me. 🙂 (it helps keep the site free!)
Sign up for the deal and then call and report your card lost. They will resend a card with different numbers and they would not be able to charge you next year…lol. Just a sneaky thought!
actually you don’t even have to report it lost, just tell them you want a new number. At the rate that we see debit and credit cards compromised by merchants, you probably won’t have the same card next year anyway.
I signed up using a P & G rebate card and it accepted it just fine. Took the code for the free subscription without any hassle. Showed a zero balance that I owed. Try a rebate card or prepaid card with a low balance if your leery of giving out your actual credit card info. Mine worked.
I just took advantage of the free year. I logged in to check out their “more valuable coupons” but they were the same ones that were there before I joined. Is there a secret place to find these higher value coupons? So far I am very dissappointed and glad I didn’t have to pay $30 because I am not seeing anything at all. I feel really stupid. Surely I am missing something here! lol HELP!!
