The 2012 Walmart Layaway Program for the Holiday Season has been announced and I have some really exciting news for you. I think it is awesome! There are some key changes that make it a no brainer for this Holiday Season.
You are now able to pay with cash when you purchase something at Walmart.com.
I think this is a great idea for a few reasons.
- There are items you can only get online.
- If you are an envelope system, cash using family, this is awesome!
- Perfect for people who don’t use credit or debit cards.
The biggest reason…..
You can basically price match to Walmart.com now!!
I went in and “bought” something to see what my choices were. Sure enough, the cash option is there! Just choose cash and “site to store” to get free shipping and pick it up a few days later as if you bought it in the store!
YES! this is so exciting!! i have always wondered why you cannot just pay when you pick up, hopefully this will help me with all the shelf clearers when it comes to certain items.
correction: just realized you don’t “pay when you pick up”
It is good to have a “cash” option.But what was NOT mentioned,and I think it needs to be clearly mentioned if they did not see the picture,that you MUST pay at the local Walmart for your merchandise and then it will be shipped!
It is NOT shipped to the store until it is payed for.
So you place an order-pay in 48hrs-then it is shipped within usually 5-10days.
How do I get a copy of the Toy Book? Does it come in the mail? Get it at store’s customer service? I actually called 1-800-WALMART and the girl wouldn’t tell me as if it’s a national secret or something!
